If accounting is not your subject, I highly recommend this professor. Unlike most acct professors, his exams consist mostly of context and key terms. No math and no workout problems. 4 exams including final. Will assign take home exams. Super easy!

This professor does not teach anything. He reads a little of the powerpoint and then talks about other stuff that has nothing to do with the class. If you are majoring in accounting, I suggest you not take him. Don't believe the hype!!

Show up, pay attention, and you'll be fine. He gave us 2 take home test and the last one was the only hard one. the Final was litteraly questions from the 3 test so it was easy. He wants you to pass so he gives out extra credit, but he doesn't let anyone just skim through. He will work with you if you talk with him. Over all hes a good guy.

I love professor Burrus, he is nice and easy going. He really understands what it is to have a job and be a student. He will work with you as long as you let him know in advance. He allowed me to take final exam early because of work. I would definitely take him again if he taught more classes.

Knows his stuff, but ... well, he's old. Not the best lecturer. Should have had assignments and reading from Connect Plus as part of our grade, but I don't think he knew how to operate it, so our grade was based solely on tests. Go to class and do the readings, and you should do okay. Ask for help when you need it.

Great professor with a great sense of humor, makes the class interesting. HE sometimes tends to get off topic, but never the less he's there if you need any clarity on the material being discussed. He offered one extra credit assignment, and is very fair. I would definitely take him again!

Don't let previous comments fool you, this teacher is horrible. He's useless actually. He read the PP verbatim, doesn't explain very much and assume that all topics are easy that the students should have no problem understanding it. I have made all A in all classes until his class. It looks like I'll have to withdraw & retake w/ dif teacher!

May mini. He was completely worthless. The first five quizzes were from the wrong textbook. He was slow to respond to messages, if he responded at all. He provided no instruction whatsoever, which made the midterm and final brutal. Must be nice receiving a paycheck to do absolutely nothing.

Not all tests are take-home. He teaches NOTHING. He reads pwr pts and shows answers to problems so you can use your phone to take pics and learn on your own. Some exam topics were not even in the book. Ironically, it is an easy A but if you like managerial acct or cost then take from someone who will teach.

Prof Burrus is a great teacher. The powerpoints are great; they summarize the lengthy chapters although you still have to do a lot of reading! We had take home tests and he gave ample time to complete. He emphasized on what you needed to know in class and if you didn't understand, he would go over it until you did. Taking him for others classes!!

If you want to make an easy A, take this class. We had an online exam and three take home exams. Very easy. There were powerpoints during lectures, so we did have visuals and he does take the time to answer any questions. Easy A in ACCT = Prof. Burrus

A very lay back teacher. Seems very nice, but you can learn nothing from him. Never post assignment, grades, exams on time. No PPT, no key points, no outlines. In a word, this is the worst Class I have ever taken from UHD. I wish I had chosen someone else's class instead of his.

Mr. Burrus is awesome and I definitely recommend him! His stories are hilarious and he keeps you interested in Financial Accounting. He is very helpful and showed the class a large portion of the completed practice set. Take him!
