I took this prof. this past summer and I'm glad I did. I say this because if I would have taken him in the regular semester I don't know what I would have done to get through it. He was a HORRIBLE teacher. He was unclear and his teaching style is not good at all. Avoid him if you can, only take him if you have to.

While I cannot blame the professor for the issues with comprehension in this class... part of the blame does rest with him. He's boring, and does not teach for all learning styles. However, I did find his tests and this class easy.

Terrible professor. He is incapable of conveying his ideas to someone who was new to the material. He doesn't really make sense, and his assignments are moderately difficult. If you MUST take him, then just grit your teeth and keep your nose buried in the book because you will all too soon find out that it will be your best friend in this class.

here's the deal: go to every class, take good notes, and don't screw around on the computer, and you will do just fine...got an A without ever reading the book...assignments can be a bit tricky but pay attention to his suggestions...stay on top of the material/assignments because it all comes together at the end...take him in the summer so no paper

He is a very good teacher. He breaks things down in a way that a 5 yr. old could understand! He gives directions on assignments, shows you how to do them in class...it is pretty hard not to do well. He is a cool guy and good teacher. I was scared about the statistics, but this class was a breeze. I'd take him again

This class was in no way worth taking. Professor Bushee seemed constantly confused and incapable of teaching any class on a collegiate level. I'm not sure if even he knew what would be on the exams when he was teaching the class. His attitude, his complicated exams, and his ' unique teaching style' made this class one of the worst I've had at Mason

Sure, he's not easy but we had take home exams the entire semester! He's a little vague on grading, he'll tell you to do one thing and then mark you down the next week for doing it but in all you get a good grade! Can't complain! I'm taking him again and suggest you take him too!

Bushee teaches this class based on the statistics. If you can't deal with statistics, then don't take him. A lot of assignments that will keep you busy, but not too hard if you pay attention in class. His instructions are confusing sometimes, though, so beware.

If it's professor Bushee, stay far away... unless u have no other option, don't take him.isn't clear in assignments n looks down upon students. Besides his belittling attitude, it's not impossible to get an A if you take good notes, ask questions (if ur lucky to get an answer) and study for the tests. do the final early, get feedback n correct it

WOW. Ok here is the deal; I took this guy and I was terrified at first. I was told he is very hard. I went to class 6 times including exams and got a B+. He is very easy and please do not buy the book, need to do so. I reccomend this guy. He takes it easy on you bc he understands people dont like the subject so he is helpful. Take Bushee fosho

Bushee is a wonderful teacher that takes his time and explains the subject. GOV 300 is arduous, and requires a lot of effort on your part, but he is there to help you if you need it, and never seems like he's looking down on you.

He's okay. The stuff is hard, and he knows that most of the people in the class hate math, so he goes slowly and is great about explaining stuff. If I get an A in this class, anyone can. But you definitely can't skip classes, DON'T BUY THE TEXTBOOK. . .it's worthless. But he gets a little heavy into theory instead of practical stuff.

Don't shoot the messenger! Despite what others say, Bushee does a very good job teaching what is simply a dull and difficult subject. His lectures are way better than the textbook, that's for sure. He explains things slowly and clearly, and his tests/assignments, while not easy, are manageable. You could do a lot worse for such a difficult subject.

I think Dr. Bushee has been given a bad reputation that is undeserved. I had him for 612 and he was pretty good at teaching a very difficult subject. The guy I had for 611 was a total bonehead and it was refreshing to take 612 with a qualfied instructor. My advice, don't believe all that you hear - there are worse professors out there.

Ok the class is so boring that youll go insane But the upside is that you really dont need the book. Go to all his classes and TAKE NOTES. jot down what he writes! Once the final comes go to him so he can pre-grade it. He likes it when you go to his office - if you ask for help after class he will be useless! He is the easiest teacher for govt300

Yes, he and the class are boring! If you go to class you won't have to open the book. I went to all the classes, took notes and got an A. When the final comes around do it early and go to his office & have him check it. He'll tell you what you're missing to get an A! When other 300 teachers gave 12-15 page for midterm we only had a short test.
