Lecture based class, very tough to go to class everyday because it is so boring. The tests are tough even if you study. I'm an honor role student and even for me the class was tough to pass. Class consisted of taking notes on her lectures then taking the same notes out of the book to turn in. Would not recommend this class or teacher to anyone.

As a teacher, she's ok, she grades on lecture guides and notes, everyday. (Hard to keep up with it all and other classes. + She often gets off track. For me it's hard to focus on the material and it feels so boring sometimes

Tested primarily on lecture guides she handed out but got off track during lectures. The class was difficult to focus in, hard to stay awake. She didn't stay on the schedule she set, and her assignments were overly specific, she told you exactly what to take notes on but it often wasn't in the text. Liked her, not so much her teaching methods.

this class was not fun. what kind of meaning can we impose on cave art(we will never know). The worst was the slides she used. they must have been from the 60's. she made the class easy. the guy next to me slept everyday. the room was dark, warm, and the class was early.

I'm sorry but she is one of the worst professors at SFCC. her lectures and work are so boring that even I, a 4.0 student, could not focus whatsoever. Sorry but dont take her class.

Teacher can be helpful, but at times it seems like she's more into herself than teaching. She's nice, but I was aggravated assignments were about modern art in the school gallery for an art history class for Ancient Art. Took awhile for the class to get going. Some people really like her.

Carolyn Stephens is the best teacher I've had yet. Very helpful! She keeps you busy, but its a good thing! I learned a lot in her class, and hope to take more of her classes. I would definitely recommend!! Thank you!

Carolyn is quite the professor. I felt like I had to be really smart to understand her completley but on the other hand she's great at explaining things and chatting it up. Although I barely escaped that class I felt I learned alot. Try to stay awake as she has a soft spoken voice but her lectures are VERY important and dont miss too much class.

Carolyn is the definition of Excellence in her field. She dose not belong at S.F.C.C, rather she would fit in more appropriately at an ivy legue University like Harvard or Stanford. I would recommend that if you are interested in a learning experience this is a sure path. Thanks Carolyn.

Carolyn is a very well-spoken woman. She is interesting to listen to and she's always got something deep to discuss. If you like classes that are challenging and full of good material, Art 110 is the best. This class, and Carolyn, changed my direction in life.
