I reached out to him on many occasions asking for clarification of topics he was supposed to be available to help with instead, he would talk about thing completely off topic, creating more confusion. Bottom line do not take this instructor and waist your money or GPA.

This teacher has been so unprofessional, cruel, and unhelpful. I found more help from the student at the testing center. He gives no correct feedback on major issues, has constantly given incorrect answers that differ from the online software. Shows no kindness, or thoroughness. He is basically there to sadistically laugh at his students.

So very rude. Not nice at all about talking about anything will laugh at you. I took this class for math 89 which s a very low-level math class. Math takes time to learn, for me anyways and that is why math 89 is a great class but he doesn't get that and is so rude and mean.

The section readings are so hard to understand and don't explain anything clearly. Homework is set up as a quiz so you don't know if you're doing the problems right until you submit the whole thing. Work worth 5 points each and 2 exams worth 200 points, so good luck climbing back. He isn't helpful and it's hard to succeed. Would not recommend.

seriously the best math teacher i have ever had! if you suck at math and know you will need help he is the one to take, anytime i had a question or needed help on homework he was there and if not available that moment he would cut out a time for you to meet with him. you have to put in the effort to pass but he is by far the best teacher!

Horrible teacher. I failed the class and had to retake it the next semester and found that 5 other people were retaking it because they failed the same class. He doesn't help or respond to emails and the material is hard to understand. Not even the math tutors could help me. Wouldn't recommend at all!

Not a very good teacher in explaining concepts or offering feedback. Requires weekly participation in topic board explaining thought process in the weeks modules. Really hard to do if you're terrible at math and struggling. I'm in PTK and I couldn't handle this course. Hope you have better luck with him but for me it was so terrible I had to drop.

Horrible Teacher! Unfair Grader, Degrading and Discouraging Person! I cant stress enough how horrible he was as a teach and a person. Took this class online over the summer, huge work load in general with a 30 paper at the end of the class worth 20%. He failed almost everyone on it and did not give clear instructions.

Tons of HW, but reasonable to understand stats. less stressed16 week. I took the 8 week course which was split into 3 proctored exams, 3-4 ch/exam, quiz and hw assignment/ch, and 7 discussions. There is a 15+ page paper, but it is the same information that is used for the discussions. Plus, the instructor is reasonable in certain situations.

One the most helpful teachers I've had at Pima! Even with health issues, Dr. Stanley took time out on several occasions to video chat to help me figure out problems. He answered my emails promptly in each online class I took with him: Mat151, Mat167. He was also available by phone when needed. He is a great professor.

I am admittedly not great at Math, but Cal Stanley did not make it any easier. His grading policy is very unclear. He offers no guidance or advice, leaving the students to just read the book. My biggest complaint is that he averages test scores together and grades on the average, which greatly hurts struggling students. Terrible. Useless. Avoid.

This teacher was not helpful or clear at all. He does not participate and hardly even responds if you email him. He doesn't teach well which makes the class especially difficult. I do not recommend taking a math course from this professor at all.

I took this class online. I do not recommend this class if you need any help from your instructor. I tried asking questions and the responses were just not helpful at all. You just read straight from your online textbook (the lecture), then work through your homework. Your all on your own in this class!

I took this class online & I would not take this teacher again. Its a combination between MyMathLab & D2L. He does not participate in anything at all & doesnt even speak to you unless necessary. Good luck getting a response if you email him. He gets snappy & rude if you ask him to go over your exams & makes you feel stupid for asking questions.

MAT167 (basic statistics) is not tough, but Cal Stanley is garbage. I am a straight A student, and got an A in his class, but he is very unclear in his requirements and I was constantly upset with him. He posted videos as lectures, but eventually stopped doing them and did not explain why. If you email him a question, you might get an answer.

Mr. Stanley is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. He thoroughly explains when he teaches, and his reviews before the test helped me so much. He's quick to answer any question and is a really nice guy.

Prof. Stanley was the best math teacher I have ever had ! He is a really funny guy, he loves cracking jokes. His lessons and examples are really easy to follow and if you need help, all you have to do is ask. He drops 5 of your lowest homework and quizes in mymathlab. And if you get an A or B in the class the final is optional. I would really recommend him to anyone :) !!

Professor Stanley is goofy in a good way. He has more personality than any other Math instructor I have had in the past. This makes a big difference. He also does a good job giving real life application of Math opposed to just getting in front of the class and working problems. I would take him again if he taught Calculus.

Cal is very much a real person. He understands that others don't always understand. He is very clear about material and details. He understands that not even he is perfect at math and is open to student corrections.
