Really nice lady. Lectures and goes on tangents. Readings aren't really important. Everything on test is from lecture notes. She emphasizes whats important, memorize that and put write it on test and your set. Also she grades 20 page paper lightly, so just get it done, put a little effort into it, and your fine.

Before taking Briggs' class, I was unaware that the dead and decomposed could hold a position on a college faculty. The book was never used and is "required" only b/c her husband is the author. The 25 page paper was not as bad as it initially seemed, but was clearly not read. Everyone gets an A

Not true I got a B on the paper. She's nice kinda boring though. Heavy work load. She expects alot from her students but is a fair grader. and she actually DOES READ the 25 page paper.

Briggs overall is really nice. The class itself is pretty easy. There are several small readings where you to take notes and hand in (but not graded). The 25 page paper was little hard, but if you do it, its an automatic A- or better. There is a team debate she gives everyone an A-. And a midterm and final which are pretty easy.

She is good. The class will build the proper fondation if you want to be a lawyer or politian. I am a senior finance major, but just took it to learn different areas. She is fair, and compares well to other professors acorss the country.

Good class, knows everything there is to know about politics. Don't let the 25 page paper scare you, it's not that bad and she gives you plenty of time...plus she doesnt even read it. If you do it, you're guaranteed at least a B. Good class and informative. Would recomend and she's a fair grader.

Awesome professor. I actually wanted to come to class. She is one of the nicest and funniest professors I have ever had. Lectures got boring at times, but were for the most part interesting. The 25 page paper was an easy A, as was the debate and the exams. Highly recommended.

sooo easy, you will got a b or higher...she scared people with the 25 page paper but she doesnt read it and you can just write about nothing, homework is a completion grade and then final and midterm..very easy and basically tells you what is on it...just go to class and thats your studying

Great teacher. Granted, my AP govt course was harder but I looked foward to class every time. She is clear and funny (eccentric sometimes) and makes things interesting. The paper isn't terrible (I dont think she even reads them). Readings are easy and enjoyable and it's not a lot of work at all.

This was the worst political science class I have ever taken. It was the biggest waste of time I have ever had to endure. She's overdramatic and spends half of her class time talking about her clearly Republican biased opinions.

Half the class disappeared when she mentioned the 30 page paper, which I did the night befroe it was due and got a decent grade. Oh yes, she does look scary the first day, but she'll lighten up when she knows her now loyal students are still there.

She's a good liecturer but be prepared to work hard. Lots of reading and writing. Homework can't help, only hurts, and the tests constitute 70% of your grade, so don't mess up.
