Easy A class. There are 4 C.S. Lewis books you have to read and take quizzes on but they are easy - she gives you the quiz questions ahead of time. She loves to tell stories about her life and is very sweet! you have like 4 or 5 papers to write but you can turn them in a second time for a better grade

Incredibly boring. Her grading policy is solely based on how much she likes you, nothing else. Attendance is mandatory even though every class is pointless and boring. She has the most annoying laugh. She tells really boring personal stories for the entire class.

I love her!! Honestly, she only talks about her life when she wants to relate it to what she is teaching to help us understand the topic better. She is a sweet lady who seeks to better your writing and reading skills. Although you do write a good # of papers, it is not a difficult class. I found myself enjoying english more after her class.

i love candy. if you want an easy going teacher that loves what she is doing...take her. you will learn a few things but not as much. its an easy A. the ony books you need is the c.s.lewis reading books. and wen you take the test she basically goes over the answers. easy A

After a rough semester that ended with my failing Dr. Drewry's POL class due to the term paper, I took Candy's class. I can now honestly say that learning this material is worth working your butt off for Drewry. We learned almost nothing about language in Candy's class. She gives u the answers to the tests. No real learning happens.

She wants you to do well. Only a couple of papers and a group story project, but she's a pretty easy grader. We don't talk about CS Lewis every waking moment, but when we do, she has a lot of insight into his work. She tells a lot of stories but they're always interesting. I've grown a lot spiritually after hearing her stories.

Oh Candy, Candy, Candy. Before I came into her class I was interested in the English field. Now? She has trampled anything I deem beautiful in writing. Not that she's a bad person, she meant well. But it is clear that she is tired of teaching and needs a change. The class was a cinch but listening to the lectures was painful. Pick someone else.

I didn't learn anything in her class. She was always talking about her family and always ended class early. We only had to turn in 2 papers at the beginning of the semester and had a midterm and final. She went over all the questions that she was going to ask us on the midterm/final. She was interested in the topic she was presenting so it wasn't like she was dull, but she ran off subject waaay too often. She does teach to go deeper than "Sally rode her bike" for writing, but I felt the lectures were often pointless--most everything went back to her and her past or present situations.

Very interesting class. She told a lot of stories and every assignment given was very clear. The papers were not hard to write and they went along with the C.S. Lewis book we were reading at the time. I'd definitely take her again if I could.

She was nice but it seemed as if she was very moody. I didn't do so great on my first test but managed to get a 100% on every paper and a 95% on the other exams but somehow my final grade did not reflect that. Considering she didn't give an final and was not there for most of the semester, the class seemed like a joke.

She's nice, but somehow I managed to get a B in the class even though I got 100s on both the tests and As on my essays. I've tried to get ahold of her to talk to her about my grade, but she hasn't gotten back to me (I guess because she's not here anymore). I really thought I was going to get an A in the class and it was disappointing.

Bad....She missed alot, and does not know how to grade. with an average of 95 on tests/papers, I somehow got a B. She does have favorites, so going into the final I knew I was bound for a grade below what I earned. She docks points for missing when she herself misses a lot.
