I loved her. you really need to be interested and particpate. she can and will see right through you. she works you hard and the topics are not always easy, but you will take alot away from her classes.

Likes horses a lot, actually made us write a paper on her horse program....graded for a medieval history class. Attendence mandatory. Talks about Harvard Divinity school a lot...compares us to Harvard students 30 years ago. I can see why she didnt make tenure.

Had her as my advisor and FYS... at first did not love her and not great advisor but a great teacher... I ended up loving her when I had her for colloquium... it also may have helped that she used to be my advisor and liked me. She is bias sometimes but very intelligent and really enjoy her teaching style.

Definitely gets a bad rap. Heard a lot of negative things about her, like she is really mean. i do see the elitist aspect that people are talking about, but it's not that evident. She encourages people to speak instead of her. Her questions during the discussion are to simply invoke more thought into your points.

she is scary as****! I mean, she can be amusing sometimes, but only from the sidelines. and she always wears black. My first class, i walked out of there thinking she was a vampire, and spent the rest of the semester wondering more about that than anything we were studying. Oh, and shes an elitist ****. I would definately reccomend statying out of her line of fire, be quiet and unobtrusive, and sit back and watch the rest of the class get blasted.

She gives ridiculous 10 min quizes which are like half your grade. There is a ton of reading involved and it takes soo much time and then she might cancel the quiz so all the slackers get more time because she claims people didnt get to see the stupid longass movie. I did a ton of work for her cla

Long Winded, repeats herself, and rarely discusses readings in class. Loose guidelines for every paper, which can be nice, but equally irritating. She always relates everything back to horses (she is obsessed with horses)
