He is an amazing professor.All you need to do is attend the class and take notes and you will pass.You might need the book if you do not want to take a lot of notes ( the book was like $30) very cheap.Exams are easy.Try not to sleep in class or you will see what he will do,

Biggest wise ass you will ever meet, always breaking someone's balls about something. Despite this though he's a real nice guy, and is extremely knowledgeable on what he teaches. Go to all his classes, don't say anything stupid, pay attention, and Captain Johansson will be a wealth of information, and good connection.

Like the other commenter - easily one of the best professors at SUNY Maritime. Captain Johansson's comments towards sleeping, taking and tardy freshmen are worth the price alone for this class. He makes of what could be a dry subject into an interesting and engaging class.
