Carl is very difficult to get along with... feedback isn't helpful, he has high expectations of his students but not of himself, & what everyone says about him not showing up... it's TRUE. I know most Comm majors have to take him at some point, so just suck it up & deal w/ it... this class was HORRIBLE.

He's a decent guy but he's horrible as a teacher. Same old garbage of copying powerpoints...thats if he decides to show up to class...Tests are nothing more than memorizing the thousands of lists he has us write down.

Well he was actually a good teacher when he came to class, but since he missed about 12 classes without any notice he wasn't one of my favorite teachers. He tried to adjust the schedule because of his absence. I got an A, so I can't complain to much, but he it was a very frustrating semester.

Take advantage of notes he writes on returned papers. Structured writing is key in getting a good grade. He knows his stuff and will help you if you drop by his office. Only negative, papers are sometimes returned later than you would like.

Nice guy. Most of his classes are structered the same way. Tests and essays. Carl gives you a study sheet- work w/ other people in the class to get the study sheet together. It's not too hard. His final exam was easy. For the essays- use his format...make sure to use APA style. And be fluid, interesing, and thoughtprovoking.
