I've had 3 classes with Dr. Cranor. He is hyperqualified and you are really in the presence of an expert. Don't let it go to waste! His office hours are extremely valuable. His classes are tough, and he only gives As to the top 10%. If you do all the readings you'll probably be okay. Although the only B I got as an undergrad was in 1 of his classes

A real professor who actually cares about your education. He's not easy and attendance is mandatory, although I wouldn't skip this class even if it wasn't for two reasons: 1. because it's interesting and 2 because you probably won't get an A if you skip.

Incredibly intelligent. I took Cranor for as many classes as I could during undergrad. When I got to law school, I already knew how to brief cases thanks to his class. I miss his lectures now and regret not applying myself more. If you plan on going to law school, smartest thing you can do is take as many classes with him as you can.

His lectures are informative and conveys knowledge that is necessary to pursue law. Case briefs are due every week and 1 is chosen at random in discussion. There is 1 midterm and 1 final in the form of essay questions. You must prepare ahead of time through completing the study guide and reading law cases because there is limited time to finish.

His lectures are super boring but really informative. There's no way you can pass this class without doing the weekly briefs just because you need them for the exams but also, they really help you understand the concepts. He's a tough professor but he knows what he's talking about and has really high standards.

I was blessed to take two classes with Cranor, one being my senior seminar (lwso 193) back in 2012. He is super tough but really intelligent. If you're looking into law school like I did, the classes he teaches you will help you and prep you for what law school is all about. Take him serious, and ask for help, he's really helpful.

This is my 2nd time taking Cranor. I have found that you don't really need to read much out of the books he assigns, but you MUST read all the things he posts on iLearn. He cares a LOT about environmental law, and if that's not your thing, avoid this class. It's rather boring. No homework. Must go to discussion. 1 Midterm and final. No paper. EASY!

He does know his stuff but the subject is VERY boring. His tests are very hard. Two LONG essay questions and not enough time to finish.

attendance & participation counts! Make sure he notices you. There was a discussion paper on one case/reading due sometime during the 10 weeks (depends which case you were assigned). During the day of that case/topic, you and another student is the "expert", he'll ask you questions! Final in class AND Take home! DO YOUR READINGS

193 Senior Seminar. Hard class, not as much reading as LAW100, but you really have to know these cases in detail. Only one paper 5 pages, about one of the readings. No midterm, only 14 p min. final, which was take home, about a week to do it. Very hard, mine was 16 pages long double spaced. Other people were long too. Boring class overall.

Lectures are boring so it's important to go to discussion and ask questions. Not an easy class but possible, you will spend the full amount of time allowed for final & midterm to complete it. Must read cases and write briefs every week.

Cranor is really an amazing professor, however there is so much material that you need to learn and keep until the final that it gets overwhelming and stressful. Discussions (attendance & briefs) 15% of grade, midterm 35%, & final 50%. READ READ READ, ATTEND ATTEND ATTEND!

This class consist of a the discussion grade, the midterm, and final that is worth 50% of your grade. Depending on the TA you have is how hard your work would be graded. You really need to do the readings as they are a must for the briefs due every week and they are also needed for the midterm and final.

What can I say- I barely went to class. He has a midterm and a final. And briefs due in section every week- you do like 4 and turn in 1 (picked at random). Right before the exams he gives handouts with all the information you need- but regardless its a lot of information to study! I studied 50+ hours for final & he picked a ? from the review lol

I gotta put this out there - this Professor is insanely hard. However, don't let him intimidate you as the TA's are the one's who grade the assignments and to be honest, I got A's on everything and I did not put much effort into the class. He is extremely boring! If you do not fall asleep in his class then you are an A+ student, no doubt.

This is clearly an intelligent man who knows his material but does not know how to communicate it effectively. Lectures are rarely interesting and you will barely stay awake in class. On top of this, he expects you to remember a ridiculous amount of information for the midterm and the final, both of which are essay test. Avoid this class.
