Unfortunately, I had a few issues during the semester where I had to miss a few classes. I felt like this was held against me during the grading. I got comments saying "maybe you would have done better if you came to class more often" Throughout the semester, I had missed three classes. He is very great with class discussions though. Professor Carl Gold, is definaltely awesome ! Must take him he is worth it all. He brings judges into the classroom to take to us. Open book for midterm just make sure that you are very detailed and take home final. Easy to pass !

2 open note essay style exams. He is one of the most down to earth professors I have ever met. He really cares about his students. He sometimes likes to pick on people, but not in a malicious way. Need to read a novel for the final otherwise just show up to class - no other outside work

I loved everything about this class besides the fact that there was only 2 grades for the class for the entire semester and that was my Midterm and Final. There was no attendance grade, participation, or other assignments. The midterm was open book open note, Final was take home. And both were only 3 questions you write an essay on.

It was an absolute honor to meet this amazing human being. Please take him!! 2 exams (open book/note/internet; essay style). Tip: Participate & take thorough notes. He plays music at the start of each class. Encourages naps. Gives great life advice. There for you. Inspiring, educational, incredible. Professor Gold, thank you for changing my life!

he is THE BEST PROF IVE ever had! ihe is THE BEST PROF IVE ever had! i wish he taught more classes. he genuinly cares that you learn material and cares about his students. When i first read the syllubus i was scared about the only 2 grades being the midterm and paper, but if you come to class and listen it will be easy. they are application based.

Most enjoyable and interesting class thus far. Genuinly cares, and is hilarious. Gives great feed back on the two exams that make up the entire grade of the class. On the first exam which is the midterm, he gives four short answer questions to cases that youve gone over in class already. Also open book, notes, and the final is take home.

Professor Gold is one of the best professor's I've ever had, he is so kind and always puts a smile on your face. He loves what he's teaching and will always give you real examples about what he's teaching, if you're lucky you may even meet some of the people he works with outside of class and thats very eyeopening too.

Such a great teacher and a super nice guy. He makes a class that normally would be boring, super interesting. Only two grades throughout the semester, a midterm and a final which is open book and open internet. Just put effort into the tests and show up (which you'll want to) and you'll get a great grade!

MY FAVORITE PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!!! 1 midterm, 1 final (open note), he is so funny, kind, and cares about his students. If you come to class and take notes you will be fine. he is there if you ever have a problem with school or personal life. if he tought more classes i would take all of them with him.

I LOVE PROFESSOR GOLD!!! His lectures are fun and very interesting. He is always willing to help his students and never wants anyone to fail. He is however, a very tough grader and he expects a lot from his students especially on test. There is only a midterm and a final that is both worth 50 points. There is also an optional paper!!!!

I would recommend this class to any student at Towson, no matter what your major is. BEST professor. He is funny, engaging, and interesting. You learn about things with practical applications and the topics are actually interesting.

Great Professor! The class goes by extremely fast, and he is excellent at keeping your attention. Take notes on all the examples he uses. PLease note, it is helpful to use a computer unless you write fast... 2 tests- HE IS WELL WORTH TAKING THIS CLASS!

AWESOME TEACHER!!! I've been in college for 4 years and have never come across such a great teacher. Lectures are 3 hours long because they are once a week but he makes them fly! You almost forget how long you're there. This class is discussion based so he's not just lecturing the entire time. Only two tests - midterm and final. OPEN NOTE

This guy is awesome! Great professor, has actual field experience since he's a family lawyer, and makes the class feel not as long as it actually is. Take him!! (Not like you have too much of a choice as a FMST major and he's the only one teaching it currently)
