Comment:

This class was the hardest I've taken here at KU- and it's a 100 level. He's unclear and rambles on all of class. His voice is monotone and boring. He even encourages it when students are disrespectful to other students views and answers. I felt uncomfortable to participate in a class full of freshman and I'm an extrovert.

Alright for his ENG100WI class you NEED the Culler 'A short introduction to literary theory." The class is super easy if you go to class. If you don't go to class its going to be a super difficult time for you. He's super caring about how you're doing outside of class once he gets to know you.

There are not many positives to say about this sad excuse for a professor. From his very vague way of explaining things to his terrible and forced humor. One of the easiest classes at this university is ENG010. However, Carl seems to treat this with the intensity of a graduate level class. Not a very easy going guy, does not identify well w/ us.

Do not take him unless you have to! I wish I would have dropped it when I had the chance. Doesn't explain how he wants analysis papers written. Cancelled class numerous times which was very inconvenient for the class. Midterm and final are difficult. Group presentation at the end of the semester. Overall, horrible class and would not recommend.

I wish I would have never taken this class. He is extremely vague, and really makes you work. He takes three points off your final grade when your absent unexcused. Overall, I dreaded going to this class. STAY AWAY!!!

If you have him for a higher level class you'll love it. He had us read the most questionable and crazy plays but class was always interesting and lively. Heavily centered on group discussion. It is not an easy A but at the same time he is a fair grader. One of my favorite classes so far at Kutztown.

Stay away from this class if possible. He is so vague about what he wants from his students that it is extremely confusing to understand what he is saying. His voice puts you to sleep and he is a tough grader. I don't think he even knows what that class is about.

I was very surprised how tough this was for a 100 level class. He is so unclear about what he wants from papers that you will fail this class even if you try. I went to his office hours, the writing center, and the chair if the English Department. I did everything they told me to do and still didn't get anything higher than a C. He is awful.

Unclear in his expectations, but he will politely answer any questions asked to clarify. Also, the multiple choice section of the final was often not information we explicitly covered in class. He often spent a long time talking about the history of English and then tested us on a single sentence from the textbook. Very nice guy, but confusing.

Alright, here's the thing; I LOVED his class. He kept it interesting and explained things very clearly. All of his tests are online. However, the classwork is easy but he is a TOUGH grader. We had two papers and I got a D on one and never got less than a B on a paper simply because he didn't like my writing style. Talk to him before handing it in.

Amazing guy. Funny, helpful understanding and he gets it. He is very smart!!!! He doesn't sugar coat things though, if what you said was dumb he will let you know. Also his tests and papers are HARD. I'd absolutely recommend Seiple, he is amazing, but not for anyone who is looking for an easy A.

Awesome professor. I'm a non- traditional student and he was very helpful. Extremely helpful. If you need help, ASK! He will allow you to revise essays and get better grades. He will also allow you more time if you have a good excuse. Very understanding. He gets an A+ from me.

Professor Seiple is the MAN. I had him last year for Intro to Lit and Comp back-to-back, and it was great. He made my first semester on campus relatively easy because he made his two classes sync together flawlessly. He's always willing to help, he's very lenient on due dates if you're honest, and he's an all-around caring dude. Take him!

Seiple opened my eyes to a slew of different perspectives in literature. He constantly played devil's advocate which helped others to learn not to cherish their long helded beliefs. Furthermore, he was overall merciful when it came to major due dates. He's generally understanding. One professor who will be remembered.
