Professor Patterson is the best professor! She is super sweet, explains everything clearly and is beyond helpful! She will help you with everything at GHC. She is a tough grader on papers, but she is only trying to help you learn. If you do not take Professor Patterson during your time at GHC, you are missing out!

Took her for Engl 1101 and World Lit. She is by far the best professor you can take for these not so exciting subjects. She makes them interesting and most importantly she will help you to the best of her ability if you try. Don't "avoid her" because you're lazy...

Lives by the syllabus. You HAVE to read the material if you plan on passing the test. Very interested in what she teaches and willing to help outside of class. Lots of papers so try to avoid her if you hate writing.

Good teacher. ALOT of essays and only 2 tests. Really knows her english and her grading is ok. I got B's on all my essays and even the tutorial center helped me revise it. Depending on the kind of writer you are and your knowledge of grammer will determine your grade.

Make sure you actually read the texts, she knows when you don't. Her grading was too easy and she didn't assign many papers. She will challenge you, but after a certain point I felt like she just gives you an A if you don't have any grammatical or spelling errors. The content of the class material was made up of selections I had read in HS. Easy A.

Very good teacher. She really enjoys her job. You will write a lot but it pays off in the end to get you out of the class. At the end you have to write 3 papers. They will be graded by other professors. Two of these three have to pass, then you must retake the compass to pass the class. Sounds easy but make sure to study before the end papers!
