All the economics professors are terrible. I feel like he doesn't even prepare for his lectures, just goes in and wings it. What he says isn't organized so you will get lost. I didn't know how to approach his exams. Terrible teacher

Comment:

I enjoy fun and interactive classes and He is very funny! His jokes can be offensive to some people, because it's all about sex and drugs. But I thought it was out of the box and easy to remember when he used them as examples for class material. He doesn't go by chapters, so if you miss classes its hard to find out what he taught last class.

The economics department is the worst at this school and he is the head of it go figure. Classes are long and boring half the time most people are unsure what he is talking about. There's 3 test and that's your grade. Good news he's very lenient with grading. Curves grades .

It's difficult to comprehend when he teaches and expects you to know a lot of detailed material from the start. Does not explain thoroughly what he teaches. Gives 2 exams which is 5050 percent of your grade so if you screw up you might be done for. However, he sometimes curves. He is helpful, and he is hilarious!

You kind of have to teach yourself. He gives a lot of examples but he doesn't thoroughly explain. Only gives two test, these are your grades so if you screw these up that's it! Good Luck. If you like to work for it, you'll love him.

Smart guy but horrendous teacher. You will not learn a thing. Assigns hours and hours of online Aplia HW each week, very difficult stuff too. Book, Notes & online HW do not correlate. If you like economics or want to save your GPA, take someone else. This guy should not be teaching.

HORRIBLE PROFESSOR!! whatever you do please avoid him! he is not a fair grader. His jokes are obnoxious and offensive! Tests are made to be impossible to pass. The averages on the exams were lower than a 60!

He is a good Professor. The course that I took Microeconomic Theory I was not easy, however, he was always ready to have some time to help those who didn;t have math skill. He also allowed to sit in his other courses. A fair grader also!!!!!

A good professor but if you do not know your basic calculus you will be lost so I suggest reviewing it while or before taking the class. He does give leeway to you if you are trying and the curves help. The textbook is confusing so I suggest going online to help study for the exams.

Course is hard. Seiglie doesn't really follow the book, which makes it difficult to follow along if you don't understand the material in class. But he does use real-life examples which makes the class interesting. He is a fair grader if he sees that you are trying. Ask lots of questions and take basic calculus before this course.

Awesome professor. I love his jokes and enjoy the fact that he's very intelligent. He loves math so make sure you know your basic calculus when taking him. I would take him again! After all, I had him 3 times already!

I didn't learn anything in his class. He joked around a lot and once in a while he would cover like 4 chapters in about an hour. His tests were the same as the questions at the end of the chapters but with different numbers. I had to teach myself to pass the class. NOT Recommended!

After taking his class I realized I wasted my time and learned nothing... this prof is really bad. He's very irresponsible, was always late for class and at the end of semester he rushed to cover all material. In one class he covered 4 chapters!! Not recommended!

Class is not hard, the problem is that he doesn't teach. He will talk for 3 hours about drugs, sex, woman, and the last 10 mins of class about equilibrium. Read the book. His applia assignment sucks, is long.
