Great teacher for Spanish. You had to be on top of your homework and class participation. If you are a whiner and procrastinate this class is not for you. He treats everyone fair as long as you show some effort. The greatest Spanish professor that I ever had.

Professor Von Son is an excellent instructor for Spanish. He has a beautiful Jack Russell puppy that he brings in almost everyday, letting her run around the classroom, which contributes to a relaxed, stress-resistant environment. As a fifteen year old student at a community college, I would venture to say that he is one of my favorite professors.

Carlos was a great teacher, by the end of the class he became more of a friend to the class rather than a professor. He personally connects with his students which creates a very low-stress environment to learn in. He helped students with very different needs, who were at different levels of Spanish. He made it fun and easy to learn Spanish.

Excellent professor. He was extremely helpful. He offered to meet me before and after class so I can catch up with my work. Hes class is very dynamic and engaging. I have learned so mucho about the spanish lasguage and culture. We need more professors with of the same quality.

Class is very easy and he's a nice guy. I learned quite a bit from his class which also taught culture and not only language. Has to work on returning graded papers, exams, and semester grades on time and not take these ratings so personal. He's got the charisma to teach this class, the school needs to help advertise this class for more enrollment.

I can honestly say that I will take more from this class than any other. I didn't just improve my Spanish, gained writing skills, critical thinking and knowledge of hispanic culture. Carlos is an amazing individual who takes in student input to maintain interest high, cares immensely for his students and wants to help us all succeed and it shows

Very nice guy,knows a lot about the spanish language and culture but his class has nothing to do with his knowledge.He has class edit his plays,nothing to do with learning higher education spanish.Needs to teach more and not use class time for his own business or interest. Also,makes you write many essays but you never get them back or corrected!

Great Proffesor really opens your mind to world news, and really helps you learn Spanish unlike most Spanish proffesors. He knows its student individually and works on there weakness. If u want 2 learn how 2 speak spanish u need 2 take another teacher like Pexoito (bad spelling- great eacher). Trust me. Von Son is fine if u flirt or kiss butt & laugh at his dumb jokes, and he DOES know a lot about literature. However I went there 2 learn the language which I need for advanced classes for my BA & Von Son totally wasted my time!!!
