This professor was unclear and unprofessional/self-absorbed with his students in class, and somehow at the same time managed to let his instructing life liberally interfere with his life (regarding his EXTREMELY private affairs with graduate students) dangerously interact with the other students around him. Professor-worthy? I think not.

McCreery is a funny man. Very, very, very strange and entertaining things come out of his mouth while he's conducting. He also has a penchanct for making extremely bizarre noises to try and demonstrate how we're supposed to play certain passages. He's also a pretty good conductor.

While it may be true about his cologne, McCreery is a good man and a great musician. He respects his students who work hard and accomplish the goals they set out to pursue in the school of music. He expects students to be prepared for rehearsals. If you are not, be prepared to be criticized for it.
