Comment:

The best teacher I had throughout my academic career. She took a kid who had all the potential in the world but no discipline and turned him into a top notch brand manager working on one of the worlds largest brands. It is amazing how one professor, who cared enough to be tough, can positively change the course of many, many lives.

THE best professor I ever had. MCC has lost someone wonderful with her passing. Can only hope that she's somewhere else breaking through that glass ceiling, and teaching others how to do it.

Prof Powers is my all time fave professor to this day. Can be challenging for projects, but end result is very rewarding. Some days she'll spend all class on youtube or talking about transfer colleges. She's awesome. Highly recommend.

I'm not a great student, in fact I hate school, but this professor is a class act. She has real experience from the big business world and ties it into her lesson plans, VERY rare in the education setting and undervalued. She is the only professor I have ever rated because she is the only one who was worth it. She is an outstanding human being.

Professor Powers is a good teacher. However uses the time in class unwisely, comes to class late almost everyday, and does not explain enough about the 10 page essay you have to write. She will babble on the entire class and yell out of no where. She'll tell you stories that you dont care to hear instead of teaching the lesson.

Prof. Powers is awesome! She is funny and brutally honest. She tells it like it is with no sugar-coating. She intimidated me at first bc she comes off hard but I am so glad I stayed. I learned so much with her and she awakened interest for the subject matter for me. Do the homework, read the ppt presentations and online content and you'll be fine.

Very nice person, comes off hard at first but she really is nice and has a good sense of humor if you can pick up on it. Tests were hard but she drops the lowest one. Knows what she is talking about and explains the material very well. Fun class. If you have to take it take it with her.
