Comment:

Easily one of the worst teachers I've had at ISU. Doesn't do anything to help you succeed. Relies on pointless videos to do all of her teaching. Sent us into an elementary school with no idea what to do with the students. Didn't prepare the class AT ALL. Do NOT take this class with her.

I have to admit that i had a negative opinion about her in the beginning. Many did not like her teaching style or her as a person. I feel that many of students did not give her a chance. I do recommend going to her office hours and establishing a positive outlook on the class. In one on one interaction she is a very helpful considerate person.

Rude and unapproachable. Does not send emails to everyone in the class, only some. Does not respond to emails. She is unclear on every assignment. I spent a good 100 dollars on the teaching materials she requires you to have. The only ones you need to buy are the unifix cubes and the fractions circles.

She is absolutely the worst teacher i have ever had. Talks more about her nephews than math itself, and honestly does not care what the students receive in the class. Ruining futures for students.

Although Carol is a lovely person, she is not cut out to be a Math 113 teacher. She does not prepare the class well for tests and did not even give our class the final study guide that all of the other 113 classes received. If you struggle with math, I HIGHLY recommend that you search for a different teacher.

Disorganized!!Blatant disregard for your grade. She was gone for a month to Alaska and spent more time talking about our upcoming urban trip than what we needed to kno for a huge test. CGI is a joke and i would have much preferred to learn about other methods to teach besides that mess. The final was totally unrelated to anything covered in class.

I have to say this is the worst class I have taken this semester. This woman is completely clueless. She left for alaska for three weeks and expected her students to know what they should do. Benson is not concerned with your grade! She doesn't teach anything and expects students to do well without providing instruction. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

She can't teach at all, it's so sad. I love math, but she expects you to learn from the book, do the homework, and then all she does is answer questions the next day. This is not the way to teach Calc II.

Not a good teacher; it's her way or the highway. Drops you a whole letter grade if you miss one class. I got A's on everything and even tutored my friend to help her pass, and she gave me a B because i couldn't make it one day for uncontrollable reasons.

I made the mistake of taking her for 146 because I had her for 145 but it was my only option. She does not teach AT ALL! She does not know how to solve the problems that she assigns from the book. Her tests do not cover anything you learn in class. Even if you go in for help, she confuses you even more. Impossible to get an A/B in that class.

She does not tell you your grade until the end of the semester!! She assigns tables as if we are 12 yrs old again! Also tells you to teach to the student's needs but I as a student must do it her way or no way!! HOw stupid is that?
