Comment:

She is a great professor but very thorough. You must study from day one! Test are hard with between 150-200 questions. Do the crosswords she has for review and end of lab questions. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! You can pass if you put in work. She gives extra credit on each test which are fill in the blank. I would of made a better grade if I studied more

Comment:

Prof. Crowder follows her syllabus reliably and is a fast grader. Everything you need is provided. I had a biology teacher last semester (Allen)-inferior in every way to Crowder. Crowder does not insult students or belittle them. She uplifts. I can see why her reputation dazzles, while others (Allen) are hated. Avoid Allen like HIV. Take Crowder.

Comment:

Professor Crowder is the best teacher I've had in my 2 years at Lone Star. I cannot believe how much I've learned this semester. I feel better prepared for nursing school and the healthcare arena. Her class was a joy and a privilege. She deserves high praise. I was honored to have been taught by her. Do yourself a favor and take Prof. Crowder.

Comment:

This class is HARD but she made it as easy as she can without just handing out A's. You have to study every note, crossword and lecture powerpoint to do well but she gives you all the tools needed to do well. Lots of extra credit. You don't want to miss a class because the amount of notes is very heavy and hard to catch up on if you miss them.

Great teacher. Informative, easy to understand since she explains everything well. I have had other biology teachers who did not do a quarter of what she does to help us. Would definitely recommend.

Mrs. Crowder gives you everything you need to pass and excel in her class. I have grown so much as a student and a person since being taught by her. Everything on the exams is in the coursework, and she gives TONS of extra credit. She is delightful to listen to and really takes time to explain the processes of microbiology. So grateful for her.

Mrs. Crowder is the jewel of Lone Star. I have never had a teacher like her, she prepares you for exams with the utmost of sensitivity and makes learning the material enjoyable. She is a precious soul. She reminds me of a person that I would love to become. She has encouraged us and enabled us to succeed. The work is challenging, but achievable.

I love Carol Crowder. I wish she was the Nursing school director. She is brilliant. She encourages us, she is the best teacher I have ever had. She really cares and it shows. She breaks everything down to where you can understand it. I love Mrs. Crowder.

Beware of taking this class in 6 weeks. The last test is a combination of 2 tests - the final exam & the final unit. The final unit is 100 pages and the time constraint makes it nearly impossible to do well. You could still be saved by her EC and lowest grade replacement, which I was. But, why take a gamble?

Really recommend taking proffesor Crowder ! one of the best proffesors ive taken !she gives extra credit on quizzes & exams that will help boost your grade by the end of the semester. she makes lectures interesting & funny ! this course requires lots of dedication & studying but it will all be worth it at the end to get an A ���� TAKE HER !!

Professor Crowder is so amazing and funny! Her lectures are interesting and clear. She provides everything that you need for the class and so much extra credit. If you want to pass, you can't slack off. It's not a hard class, just very time consuming. It's all about memorization and putting things together. Best microbiology professor.

The class is difficult regardless who you take it with. She gives so many extra credit opportunities to help you with your grade. She provides you with all the material you need to pass. (Audio lectures, PP of the labs). Her lectures a great and couldn't imagine taking this class with anyone else.

Comment:

This women knows what she is talking about, and she explains things very well. Her lectures are always interesting, and so are the labs. She gives lots of quizzes but they are very easy and are a great grade booster. Her lab practicals are tough, but she provides all the materials you need to make an A. Her class was the best I've taken yet.

TAKE THIS CLASS! this is the best micro teacher! Pay attention from the first day. I thought she was pretty funny. This class is not a walk in a park, you will have to study. I recommend buying a voice recorder from the start. Thank me later.

TAKE HER TAKE HER TAKE HER!! I was nervous walking into this course but she is the most AMAZING professor I have taken. The way she explains material is unbelievable and PREPARES you for the medical field. She cares for her students and loves what she teaches, I'm walking out this class so confident in what I have learned. SHE MAKES THIS COURSE FUN

I have attended a top rated university, but came to North Harris to take my micro class. Professor Crowder is the best professor I HAVE EVER HAD! She explains difficult material in a way that makes so much sense! Her lectures are often funny and I never dreaded coming to this class. I loved growing bacteria and then staining and testing them

I came here before starting the 5 week summer class and was terrified from all of the horror stories. I take my final tomorrow as I'm sitting at a 98 average for the class. Crowder is AWESOME. The material may not be great, but she knows how to teach it! If you take the time to review material she basically spoon feeds you what you need to know.

on her test there are two possible right answers which makes you confuse, quizzes everyday, lectures are interesting but at the same time you get bored takes half of your lab time lecturing. Don't take her she is so hard I had to drop the class last semester took her again only because I knew what was gonna be on the Exams and Lab exam.

Do not take this course if you do not plan on making it a priority. You will have to work VERY hard for your grade, but an A is manageable. She is so caring and gives SO MUCH extra credit and if you don't do well it is your own fault. This class prepares you for nursing school, so don't expect it to be a walk in the park!
