Comment:
Avoid like the plague, seriously! The tests and course material are easy, but the project is ridiculous. It is literally more work than my senior design project (I'm an engineering major). She makes you do a full (and I mean FULL) analysis of a company. The report is 8 pages of just charts (no words). Also assigns a lot of other work. Do not take!!

Teacher is very difficult. Test's were extremely hard and I had to teach myself. I didn't learn anything and would NOT take again. Gets stuck on her own examples.

Mrs. Mannino is very brilliant when it comes to the topic of Finance. GO INTO OFFICE HOURS THEY HELP SO MUCH DO NOT BE SCARED THE A IS WORTH IT. The tests were hard in the beginning but she started letting us use cheet cheet's on the tests which helped all of our grades. As long as you do the assigned HW, you will do well in this class.

Carol Mannino is a very smart person, and a nice lady. I can tell she knows the material well. Initially class was very rough and test scores were bad. Towards the end of the quarter she improved and made the tests much easier. Overall she is a reasonable teacher... Some of the reviews are very exaggerated on here.

Worst teacher I have ever had in my life. Avoid like the plague. Even though it was an in person class, majority of the work was done online. Very hard exams. Basically paid to attempt to teach the subject to myself. At least she has good intentions and is nice.

Comment:
Organization is completely lacking for an online class. Blackboard was structured into "Modules" rather than week by week. This made it very difficult to determine when assignments were actually due, especially since topics carried over from one module to the next. If I had her level of organization in my job, I would be fired for incompetence.

Isn't helpful when you ask her specific questions. She has high expectations for people who know nothing about this class, and doesn't explain anything clearly (or at all)

She's not an easy professor... but you learn. She won't hand out grades but if you go into her office she's good at explaining one on one. Take her. Stop complaining it's a lot of work and do it. It's a class you'll have to base future classes on.

I don't understand why the material is covered in the most confusing way possible. I basically had to learn everything on my own because she has her own pace and it doesn't matter if the class is understand the material or not. You should have a general knowledge of accounting before you take this class or you will have a hard time keeping up.

Not a fan of her. Very unapproachable. Seems frazzled and disorganized the majority of the time. Whenever I asked for help she seemed annoyed that I didn't grasp the concept initially.

Carol clearly knows what she's doing in her head, but this rarely translates into class, mkay? Her math is usually inaccurate and confusing. If you take really good notes and pay attention to everything, you have a fair chance to pass. Final thought: mmmmkay, mkay mmmkayyy.

A bit frazzled, but will present you with what you need to do well. Absorbing the material from class notes is sometimes difficult. Don't put off things to the last minute. Otherwise when your numbers dont add up, you cant ask her, willing to help work through your hw when things dont compute.

Comment:
If taking her for MS354, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you take it in a time slot that last more than an hour. It seems she tend to rush if the class last only 50 minutes. The extra 15-30 minutes allow her to answer any questions (which my class had many, related to MS354 or not) while finishing the materials and class problems.
