I found her to be extremly hard. In class she is fast pace, and most of the work we do is in a online program. I was stuned one day in class when a student said "i dont understand can you show another problem?" and teacher reply "you will have pleanty of time to do as many as you want at home"

She has everything clearly laid out and as long as you follow her directions and complete homework/tests/quizzes on time, there is reason not to do well in her class. She provides examples of all questions, so all necessary information is provided for you. She is also available for help, if needed.

Have had the privilege of having her as my math teacher twice. Amazing passion for what she does. Hard but extremely fair. She wants you to pass and it shows. She takes an interest in her students that simply isn't seen anymore nowadays. Stresses holding yourself accountable. She got a failing math student to pass with an A! I am a believer!

I have worked with a lot of math teachers but I can say that Professor Metz is the best teacher that Ive ever had! Shes fair, clear, understanding and breaks everything down for you when she teaches and very patient. I'm even going to stay in contact with her when I depart to John Jay for any other help I might need. I HIGHLY recommend her!!

OMG I absolutely love Prof Metz and the fact that she walks you through everything and doesn't mind going back to explain something is a plus for me. She's funny, warm, and easy to talk to. I recommend her to all future Trig and Function students, you won't regret it.

Professor Metz was born to teach math. She is excellent at what she does and because of this i finally passed beginning algebra. It was a lot of work to cram into a 5 week summer course but Carol Metz made it easy to understand. I would definitely recommend her. Also, there is no reason to buy a text book because she provides it for you online.

One of the best professors that I have ever had. Really cares about her students and goes the extra distance for them. She is extremely fair and went over everything she said she would.She made a five week class fly by. Would recommend her to all. If we had more teachers like her school would be a lot better place.

Prof. Metz is the best math teacher I have ever had. She is truly dedicated to her students and enjoys what she does. She gives you your notes so you can focus on learning and not worrying about writing everything down. Her notes are amazing. She gives you every chance to become a perfect student. Math, no matter how you look at it is challenging. I have taken this course before and failed, it was too overwhelming. The tools that prof. metz uses in her class are priceless. She is a nice woman, but she is very specific with her work. Things have to be done her way or the highway,so if your learned it differently before, forget it and learn it her way bc she is a sucker when it comes down to taking pts on exams. Dont take this class unless you can put up with a controlling personality.
