Dont think because she has different ideas and has a hard to understand book that its not a great class. I learned SO MUCH. You just have to keep an open mind. It was so easy and all we did was watch videos and listen to music. So interesting and she is really sweet and her home video she shows you is so weird and funny, like her. =) I loved her

I took the online class over the summer & let me tell you, you really can't do it last minute. I will take you 50+ hours to complete the portfolio so start as soon as possible. Her book doesn't make any sense & you need it for the course. I got an A, easy, just time consuming. She's really helpful if you just e-mail her.

Her online class is an easy A... all you have to do is BS the portfolio. I completely BSed and didn't even completely finish the assignment and got an A. Her book is extremely confusing but just read it and spit back out what you read... I didn't bother to rephrase much

The worst class I could have ever taken. Her book was one of the most confusing, out of this world, piece of written material that I have ever laid my eyes on. I took her online class and my final project ended up being about 150 pages. Too much for being a introductory class.

i remember that question. sigh. and she's serious too. don't take it, you will regret it after you look at your Music Odyssey book. Regret will turn into hatred for the class once you start working. and when you finish, you will come on this site type out a thing against her like 95% of us did. She is the other 5% in disguise saying its good. haha

There is only one word to explain this class: HORRIBLE. Her book sounds like it should be written for a music major and even then they would have trouble understanding it. Her online class is a mess of busy work that will teach you nothing about music. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

Super annoying. Her book drove me crazy!!! I get it if you're writing a book for your collegues but when you're trying to teach something, esp. a music 100 class, you need to assume the people reading it don't know anything about the subject matter! GRRR.

The professor does not involve herself in any part of your learning. You are required to write a portfolio based off of the required text. She wrote the textbook and it is NOT clear at all! The syllabus is very difficult to understand, I had it clarified a few times before I got too far. Ask for help, BS your portfolio and you will get an A!

She's over the top with all of her assignments.It's a ton of busy work and she tries to talk you into buying the book which is impossible to understand.Instead go to the website she has and find the lectures.Everything you need to know in the simple language she should use to write her book.It's tripe riddled with spelling and grammatical errors.

i took her online class over intersession... it was really easy and i got an A even though i didn't fully follow the directions and BSed my way through. it takes a lot of your time, but try to manage to spread your work over the intersession rather than trying to do it a week and a half before the deadline like i did. :( easy, take the class!

Took the 8 week online class. I devoted 50+ hours to this class and I typed a 65 page 10 point font paper for this class. It wasn't hard, just very time consuming. She is there for you if you need help. I didn't have to much problems here and I got an A on my porftolio. She is way better than what people are saying about her. Trojan fan too!!

I must admit,her book was very confusing and had some weird questions to answer. But i have to say that she is very very helpful. Just do your best and follow the syllabus and for sure you will get an A like i did. i'm not smart but the reason why i got an A was because i asked her to clarify things. I took the 8 week online class. You read the book she wrote and create a HUGE portfolio about the book. I devoted 45+ hours to this portfolio which was 65 pages long in 10 point font. It is rather easy but just very time consuming. The professor was very helpful and understanding. Not as bad as people make her out to be.

Chardonnay changes her text book (which she writes herself) every single class she teaches. It's a SCAM. she does this purposely so that NO ONE can resell it or buy used copies, FORCING us to SPEND MORE, so she can have $ in HER OWN POCKET. she gets a certain profit from every single book she sells. Teachers should help students, not rip them off.
