This prof cares that we learn, and she was very helpful. The labs need alot of time. The exams are not easy, but her practice review exam helps. I really learned programming. This is not an easy class.

I took this and 2231 in high school, so I know exactly what I'm talking about. These reviews seem to be looking for the easy A. When you're trying to learn a new programming language from scratch you are not going to have an easy time getting started. Stewart taught fairly well, you get out what you put in and Stewart gives plenty of help.

Great Teacher. Will not be an easy A, but Prof. Stewart prepares you for the real world.Students rather have a free A and not learn a thing. If you want to learn take her. If you want a free A and to know nothing come time for a job interview in this field don't take her. Excellent teacher!

Awful teacher. CPS4931 is always taught at 7:30 at night! The class is supposed to end at 10:45 but she has gone over several time. Forget about getting out early, if someone doesn't tell her that it's time to leave, she will teach until the sun comes up. She writes in cursive and has terrible handwriting so sit close to the front. Mandatory class!

I dropped this class also. Will never take this lady again. Sends millions of emails to make corrections on mistakes she makes when she initially hands assignments out. What a horrible experience I had.

in the beginning its easy. but overall its a hard class. she gives you 10 labs which take forever to do. if you have a mac laptop good luck she doesn't help u. generally she doesn't help, she just ask a lot of questions to make u figure it out. i would not take her again at all! if u can take another teacher than u should!!!

If u want 2 learn, she's the one. Very interesting teacher. U can learn a lot from her. Once u understand what exactly she wants you'll be good. I learned a lot in her class, but she gives a lot of work. I strongly recommend her. She's very nice person & cares about everyone & will make sure that everyone learn.
