I am a straight A student. Or at least I was, until I took Caroline's class, a degree requirement. Terrible teacher, prone to useless tangents, tests contain material not covered in readings or lectures. In one of my papers, she wrote that a source used was unreliable, and I should have chosen one with credibility. It was the course textbook.

Very knowledgeable and helpful professor. The textbooks were useful for filling in blanks as she's a quick talker who doesn't repeat info. Great introductory course for Greek and Roman art fans.

She is really nice, and straightforward with the material. It's quite easy and quite interesting. You just have to go to class and take notes, which is basically all you have to do for most Art History courses at UBC.

Can be intimidating, but actually really fun and helpful if you make the effort to get to know her. Knows her stuff, very vigilant with you but you WILL improve with her help, and if you show that you want it she'll spend lots of her time & energy to help out. Basically her bark is loud, but she doesn't bite hard. You'll grow to love her!!!

Seemed to mean well, but wasn't an interesting speaker ? lectures never seemed to go past a surface-level analysis. Can be condescending ? spent a good 10 minutes explaining what genocide means, and giving an etymological breakdown. Relates EVERYTHING to Ancient Greece somehow. Very, very, very biased when she likes a text.

very hard to take this course in summer time. if you don't come to class, you won't do well. lectures are ONLY pictures. nothing is posted either. If you don't have a photographic memory, don't take this course. time management is terrible. crammed in like over 200 pics just before the final. picks favorites. sarcastic comments are offensive

One of the best Arts One profs. Seminars are mostly lectures but Caroline has a trajectory and will get you where you need to be to understand your texts. Lots of office hours, emails late in the evening, and always willing to work with students if they are willing to take initiative. Get to know her-she's really quite nice and humorous!

ARTH329/CLST 330. Seems to be a nice woman, but has quite sarcastic responses that can be offensive. Put up 200 images four days before the exam. Time management was poorly organized over the summer, resulting in the students suffering from her inconsistencies. Lectures are very scattered & she seems to pick favourites. Fair marker.

An awesome profe to talk to. She really knows a lot about past cultures and literature. However, Im not too crazy about her lectures. If i wasnt so interested in the subject matter, it would be hard to pay attention. Really approachable though, totally willing to help.

As a prof, Williams is not the worst. I've found she's not that bad. She won't coddle you, but she won't go out of her way to squash you either. Work hard, she'll seem fine. She tends to monopolize seminars, but you can work around that. All in all, not too bad, a little dry, but not too shabby.

I'm still undecided. She was a tough marker, but if you use impressive vocab and complex ideas, she'll love you. hates anything simplistic. Tried to explain. Ask questions, and for help, she'll be fair. Picks favourites, so work hard.
