Prof Irujo is a great Spanish teacher! The book is used constantly and there is a quiz every class. Good amount of homework but its's all practice for learning the language. Extra credit is offered all the time. Set in her ways, do what she wants and you'll pass

Sra. Irujo was the best Spanish teacher! She made sure everybody understood the material and made it easy for everyone to excel in the class. Great environment in the room. Loved the party on the last class with Spanish food!!

Comment:

Great teacher. A good amount of homework and weekly quizzes, but makes sure you know exactly what's on each quiz and makes sure you understand it. Group work really helps. Doesn't put you on spot. As long as you're putting in the effort, she's a very fair grader, and allows extra credit. Would definitely take again! Drops lowest quiz grade.

Despite some of the reviews here, I actually enjoyed having her as a professor and I'm taking prof. irujo for enl 102. She is straightforward and usually sticks to the syllabus. The assignments are clear, and you lot of workshops too. Attendance is mandatory so make sure you go :)

She doesn't actually teach anything. The class is just large assignments that you read out of the book then annotate, terms, summary, reflection. She puts the class into groups and you basically go over the assignment with your peers. DO NOT take this class with her if you have a full course load of classes. If you have free time it is an easy A.

I took her for elementary spanish. She is an excellent teacher. Her class is very predictable with homework quizzes etc. She does not move on till entire class knows material. She takes class very serious so if you plan on talking and texting in her class be prepared to get the boot. I plan on taking her for spanish 2

Sra. Irujo was great. I had her class over the summer in a six week period. She is very nice. She went out of her way to help those of us going on to the next level in Spanish, which she didn't have to do. Also she offered plenty of extra credit opportunities to students who struggled with material. Anyone willing to work can succeed!

Class is VERY intensive; weekly quizzes and homework. You will learn if you do study and do the work. She is very fair and is extremely willing to help. Always available by e-mail and by appointment. Overall, she deserves an A+ herself!

Extremely nice and helpful teacher. She gets the job done by focusing on educating students rather than test-torturing them. Is extremely knowledgeable and fluent in both English and Spanish. Easy to understand, & English is her first language. Grades & returns work promptly, is easy to contact & dependable. Wish I could get her for my nex SPA.

First off, she speaks clear English to explain Spanish clearly enough, which she does very well. You have to do work to pass the class, but it is college after all. Attendance is very important in this class. I took Miller for Spa 02 and she's horrible. I dropped her and switched to Sra. Irujos class, where I'm much happier. Highly recommend!

I took SPA 01, 02 and 11 with Sra. Irujo. Very organized! Intelligent(e)! Great attention to detail (it's nice to find a teacher who takes care in constructing exams, unlike exams in other classes that appear to have been thrown together by a d r u n k a r d). Prepares you for quizzes/exams well. Highly recommended! No more room, I could go on!

Awesome. I got so much out of her class. Didn't like spending so much time working in groups but thought she explained all aspects of the language wonderfully. Very laid back but very organized. Actually looked forward to each class.
