Decent professor, decent class. Snyder is really nice, and she clearly knows her stuff. She is available for office hours and won't judge your cluelessness. You get what you give. If you seriously prepare for class and participate, you should be alright.

She genuinely cares about all of her students, and wants them to succeed. All you have to do is ask, and she will help you out on any assignment! Her lectures are extremely interesting, even for non-history majors. Definitely one of my favorite professors at Messiah.

I love professor Snyder!She takes a genuine interest in her students and is super sweet. I had her for a night seminar and, though I hate evening classes,she made the time go very fast. You have to work hard for your grades,but I don't find the test too tricky. Overall, HIGHLY suggest you take Snyder!

Here's a perspective for those of you who are looking for your history gen. ed. This class was tough for me as a junior; I'm not history-minded and I just couldn't give this class the time it demanded. Not to mention it was extremely boring. I don't recommend it unless you have decent interest.
