Comment:

She was not helpful when I asked about my low grade, she referred me back to the assignment requirements rather than just telling me what I did wrong. She is tough on grades and acts like this is the course you should dedicate the majority of your time to. I would not recommend at all!

She was very helpful in feedback even gave recorded feedback. She allows you to complete the recorded assignments by yourself if you are too busy for a partner. There is ALOT of work assignments designed to help you learn the language so you can pass the exams. I normally spend 4 hours a week on a class this one took me at least 15 hours a week.

She strictly follows the rules for her own advantage. If the rules favor the student, she will quickly change the rules taking away the student's opportunity to have a second chance. Very rude, difficult to talk to. Not flexible AT ALL under any situation.

I took this course with prev. middle & high school spanish.I had a very hard time in this class despite my A.I would not recommend this class to new spanish students. This prof. can be nice and she does try to help her students. As long as you are putting forth the effort.

The online Module En Linea is of poor quality to first time spanish students. You cant understand the annoying spanish voices! They have no real learning style for students, its here is spanish do it. lol.

Professor Capek seems to be a wonderful person. She always has very nice comments. The En Linea learning however is not user friendly to 1st time spanish students. The school or instructors could have picked a better program based on a panel of students recommendation. Otherwise,with any subject you have to apply yourself. Great Prof. Bad Module

I have never taken a foreign language and even told her this prior to taking the class; she said if I spend about 15hrs a week I should do fine. This is NOT the only class I take. I find this class overly difficult for a beginning class; I would NOT recommend this class to anyone

Don't take Spanish online unless you have a grip on the imperfect and preterite usage. I got a zero on an activity, because I did not use the right tense. I asked her how it should have been written and she said to follow the lesson in the book, so I still don't know what I did wrong.

Very hard to learn a language online....you cannot hear the pronunciation of words and phrases and the e-partner recordings are frustrating because you are never online at the same time! Take my advice never take language online only in the classroom!!

By far the worst teacher I have ever had.She is not clear on what she wants. Responds too late to emails with a question you had.Very rude.I would not recommend this class to ANYONE unless you want to throw your money away.This class/teacher is a waste of time and you will learn nothing and get criticized for it because of her bad teaching skills.

Wonderful Prof!She made time to help outside of class and invited online students to classrooms to help us.If you show you are making an effort and really working hard she works hard with you.I learned so much in this environment.I am now translating at the hospital I work for thanks in part to her and it is helping me with my nursing career.

I have had a wonderful experience learning Spanish with this professor. She has taken time to meet with me outside of class to help me with things I did not understand and provide additional sources for info. I have found that if you plan well and put forth effort needed in the online setting you can do very well in this class.
