I Took this course just as an elective because it fit into my schedule and sounded kind of interesting. Turned out to just be a really boring course with a bad teacher that has set expectation way to high. If you have to take it you can pass it but i wouldn't expect you to maintain your 4.0. If i could do it over again I would avoid this prof.

By far the worst professor I have ever had, she expects you to have knowledge that we are in the class to learn. It is an elective at 100 level not 400, she doesnt seem to understand that. Dont let the first day of class fool you the class sounds great. It's a lie. Run far, far away. Geology of National Parks to be specific. I was honestly excited.

I only had this class once a week on Tuesdays. It's actually really interesting. The power points are a bit long, but all of the information needed for the tests are on those power points. She does try to break it up by showing movies, which is pretty nice. All in all, interesting material and nice lectures if you pay attention.

The class gets a bad rep yet if you are able to get through it by working hard and showing interest in it, it will be fine. Make sure to cross your t's dot your i's, she says jump you say how high. Not a bad class and the content is great for preparation into an environment or energy career.

Took 321 and 220 online and recommend both. If you read the book/modules you will do fine. Tests were multiple choice or T/F and aren't "tricky". She is straightforward with what she expects and always answered my emails with any questions I had. EES 220s assignments can be difficult to figure out sometimes, make sure you have time to complete.

I've taken her for a few online courses, and I do have to say they weren't easy. She is very passionate about her work and I think it reflects in her teaching/grading. I agree she is hard on students in GER courses who have no EES knowledge, but if you do the work, you should have no problem. She is picky, but I think it's only to help better you.

Catherine Carlson is the worst instructor (out of 24) I have ever had the displeasure of becoming aquainted with. She seems to expect people to know what she knows, rather than understanding she needs to teach the subject. And she doesn't realize that not everyone is an earth science major. Terrible grader & instructor. I give her an F for all.

She is the WORST professor at ECSU, which is saying a lot. Had her for an online class to fulfill a GER, she was ridiculously unclear about assignments and was impossible to get ahold of for help. The few times I did get through to her she was outright rude and condescending and still not helpful. Terrible class and terrible professor!!!!

I took an online course the Fall semester, registered the last day of registration. She was not helpful AT ALL with trying to get the online course set up. I never was able to and I am going to fail the class. It's crap because she told me to contact someone who doesn't exist!
