Wow, Took her intro course and she was very nice, but could not explain anything. She talked in her CPSC terminology to her "Model" Students who had prior cpsc courses taken, she completely disregarded those who were new to this course and made it impossible for me to enjoy CPSC as a whole.

Cathy is really nice and clearly wants her students to do well. She's flexible and understanding. A great instructor for beginning/intimidated CS students because she works through things slowly and takes time to review concepts as the class progresses. Those with previous programming experience may find the class moves slow.

Amazing instructor very clear on lab work and marks fairly well Very good for beginners in comp sci classes I would advise only beginners take her or you will get a bit bored in her classes but she is always there to help and her exams are fair recommend her for any comp sci class!

Cathy is an extremely knowledgeable teacher with the subject. I found that she wasn't all that clear when first explaining the course, but if you self-involve yourself and learn the material everything becomes easy to understand afterwards. She is extremely flexible with due dates and is always willing to help during her office hours.

great prof! lectures can be boring though. she's very helpful and patient and is careful to make sure that u get the material before she moves on. don't be afraid to ask questions because she'll help you with anything. totally would recommend.

I thought she was great. CPSC/internet/web design is a really hard topic to teach, because everything to teach is always changing- but she really tried to make things clear for us. she also is there 100% if you ever have a question in a lab- even a stupid one. she's quiet but knows a lot. definitely recommended- made me very interested in web desig

the Lec is so boring and pointless, I just did Sudokus all class :) the labs are easy tho. She doesn't know what she is talking about most the time.. very unclear.. I don't even think it's the kinks she just doesn't know how to teach at all

CPSC is a new course, she's still working out the bugs. DO NOT take it unless you have a lot of computer experience. She IS very helpful but also,utterly incomprehensible. I've never met a prof who literally doesn't have the faintest idea how to teach. Super nice, but who cares about nice if you're failing? Incredibly confusing presentation.

Cathy could not be a nicer, more helpful instructor. However, she doesn't present the information in a very organized fashion and so can be really hard to follow. I think she's still working out her methods as the course is new. It's hard, and she assigns a lot of homework, and you cannot ever miss a class or an assignment or you fall behind.

for someone who is an arts major that views computers as alien ojects this class was really helpful. Cathy was so helpful and totally extended herself to help anyone who needed it after class, like myself.
