She is a very hard marker. the midterm average was 40%, and the final average was less than even midterm's average. she is helpful only during the lab.in terms of marking for each lab report, she is awful. very bad lab teacher.

Took Celia after failing 1210 w/Randy & Scott. She's awesome,very knowledgable & extremely helpful! I'm back to take 2421 after gone to UBC & had Q's on 2421. I emailed her unaware she's on mat leave. She assisted me EVEN she's off this term. Always care about her students. Highly recommended! Big Thumbs UP! I wish u r my 2421 lab instructor!

Celia is extremely helpful not only during the lab period, but also outside the lab. She's very quick in replying your email in case you have questions about the lab report. I also took 1104 with her and I even go to her regarding my private life. She is awesome!!! I highly recommend her. Celia, enjoy your maternity leave! See you soon.

What an awesome Lab teacher. She was extremly helpful and is always there if you have a question. She is an incredibly nice person and she made you want to come to class. I only hope that I have the opportunity to take another Chemistry lab with her again.

I disgree w/ the rating above mine. This is a 2nd yr course & expectation should be higher. Can't blame others when u have english problem or just simply can't write good report. Celia is very fair & compassionated. I'm looking forward in taking CHEM 2421 with her again.

She's a bit tough on sig fig's but she's definitely a fair marker. Make sure you pay attention in her lab lecture talk and she always gives a LOT of hints of how to do the lab report of that week. In CHEM 421, she even gave handout for report requirements. If you did poorly in her lab, you just didn't read her handout or ask her for help.
