Nice guy and helpful if you ask, but very tough grader and not always clear about directions. Very heavy workload for an online course. Some group projects. Textbook is very affordable though. Lots of reading, quizzes, group case studies, a communication plan w/ PowerPoint, simulation exercise.

This particular course was extremely time consuming. If you are not willing to dedicate hours into doing research to write your analyses and essays, you are in for a long and arduous semester. Professor Nehrt is EXTREMELY bright, cares a lot about his students, and is always available for help. He does however expect you to take responsibility

Comment:

You will not coast in this class but Nehrt is fair, organized & genuinely wants his students to do well. For online, he provides lectures with voiceovers and real-life examples (others profs dial it in with cut-and-paste from the book) He outlines expectations and covers what's on the test . Grades fairly. Best online teacher I've had at QU.

Comment:

One of the most intelligent professors I have taken thus far in my Quinnipiac career. Since he comes from a highly regarded educational background (Penn, Columbia) he expects that his students will go above and beyond the required. His finals and midterms are very difficult, participation is essential, and he expects good presentations.

This class was so boring especially as an 8am. I would rather do anything else than sit in this class. He is a pretty tough grader too. You have a midterm, a final, and a group project. Quizzes on random chapters that you have to read before class. If you don't have a reading then you have a journal. He thinks he is the only class you take.

You don't do much work except read the book and write journal entries. Some quizzes, but no tests except for the midterm and final. Not too hard material. You have to read the book in order to understand, and the book is awful, boring, and has long chapters.

He is never clear with what he wants from us, he's a business prof so i can't say how he is for that class but for QU101 he is boring, a hard grader,awkward, and expects too much work from us. You will write an essay for that class every day of the week. DONT TAKE HIM TRUST ME.

Nehrt is a great professor. He is a hard grader and is very strict with attendence. However, if you miss classes, you'll get behind so it is worth it to cometo class. The materia is very interesting and he tries very hard to entertain and teach. Great guy. Really got a lot of out the class. Take his class!

Nehrt is a very demanding teacher, but he knows this and empathizes with his students. It's easy to mistake his kindheartedness at 1st glance, because he has a mannerism suggesting toughness and rigidity, but nothing could be farther than the truth. He wants all of his students to be successful and will go out of his way to help.

Nehrt's class is a little more demanding, you actually have to pay attention to the material. He really knows what he is talking about though and relates the material to other things to make it clearer. He also seems very interested in seeing students do well in his class/and overall.
