This teacher is beyond boring and she tries to be funny but not funny at all . Too much readings, if you have others reading classes then don't take this class or choose different professor. I have never thought psyc class would be that boring .

If you landed Melrose for one of your Psych classes, you're in luck. She gives very structured and conclusive lectures. If you pay attention, take lots of notes, and study, you will pass. She won't give you a free pass, but she'll give you all the tools and info you need to succeed if you apply yourself.

Her lectures/powerpoints will get you the A. everything that'll be on the test is highlighted. She's very peppy, better this than grumpy. She loves teaching, and she's good at it. Never used the text book. To pass, show up, take notes on power points, do extra credit(macmillian quizzes), do her one homework assignment, and take the tests.

She says to buy the book but i never bought it and i did fine. She talks a lot but only because she wants to elaborate more on what she said in her powerpoints. She is very clear on what is on the test. However, shes puts questions on the test that are from the book.

Very boring. She just rambles on throughout the entire lecture, and it makes time go by so slow. She tries really hard to be funny and it's beyond annoying. Easy class. She drop the lowest test score at the end of the semester if you dont miss more than 4 classes and tests are easy as long as you go to class, take notes, abd do the study guide.

Very nice and caring teacher who cares to help her students by letting them know what they need to do in order to pass the class. She gives out study guides that are equivalent to her exams and she curves her grading system. So glad to have taken her since this was her last class before retiring

The worst and most boring class I've ever taken. Lecture style is power points so everyone is busy taking notes and no one listens to her. And a lot of boring jokes. Every time she just puts me into sleep. She even makes us to stay after the final exam to watch a stupid movie for one hour. If you actually want to lean something don't take her.

This class isn't hard if you show up to class and take perfect notes. If you miss one class good luck, unless you have good people around you to help. She was a good teacher, but is very corky and tends to go off on tangents. I didn't like the class, because she was overdose corky, and I could not handle it, but you have to go to class to pass

Values punctuality and attendance. Drops lowest grade. Really good about highlighting the key points which are going to be on the test. Tests are multiple choice, mostly based on the lectures with 10-15% questions based on the book. Attend lectures, go over the review sheet, use connect before the test and you will get an A.

If you don't like perky people then do not take this class! Personally I thought she was great. She is very energetic. The class is a lot of memorizing but pretty easy. She's a good teacher! Her study guides are the test so it's easy to ace.

Lectures are long but very helpful if you take notes. Her Study Guide is a long list of terms but if you study them (I recommend with note cards) you should be golden. There is a paper you have to type at the end of the semester but it's only 1 page long. Major grade curve (76.6% is a B). Drops your lowest test score if absent no more than 2 times.

Melrose is gives great examples throughout her lectures. I find the same examples on her exams. My test score only dipped below an A once, when I missed two classes. If you actually attend & take good notes, you should pass. Study those notes and flip through the book occasionally for an "easy" A. She even has optional review sessions before tests.

Professor Melrose was truly phenomenal. Beyond helpful, clear, print out review sheets and bring them to class to make sure to take better notes on certain topics and you will easily do well. Do connect plus learn smart and you'll do well.

She's quirky and always smiling-super approachable. However, this goes without saying that class tends to go on and on even though the lecture is about an hour and a half long. No HW, 5 pretty challenging tests- 60 ?'s each. 1 one page "essay". Takes attendance twice every day. Usually makes you talk to the people next to you to exchange opinions

I loved this teacher! Wish she taught more classes. She gives you a review guide for each exam, study each term and you will ace the class! Not sure if the teacher was really interesting or the class content itself was interesting but I had a good time.

Oh, man. I have to say, Melrose's psychology class drove me insane. Ironic, but true. She's a sweet lady, but she had no control of the classroom (granted there were over 200 students), had confusing power points, and wasn't very good at communicating in general. I got an A with minimal studying, though, so that part was cool.

Very little of the exams come from the text book. Show up to class, take notes, and review, you'll be fine on the exam. No studying, I avg an 88% on the exams. With studying, a 96%.

Took her my first year at occ. Very boring professor and will NEVER let you out early so don't expect it. Her tests are kind of hard because she words them in a weird way. She does let you drop lowest test score if you have good attendance. She is not that bad just extremely boring.
