Charlene Spearen is not that great of a teacher. She gives four papers and a final that has nothing to do with the class. After making all of the revisions on my papers that she requested I still came out with a B+ when I thought I did everything in my power to get an A. You must attend class. Worst english class I have ever been in because of her.

Recently completed DR. Spearen is a great teacher! She gives helpful comments on first drafts and allows for you to fix them to make a great grade. I would strongly recommend her to anyone considering. Very kind woman.

Mrs. Spearen is an awesome teacher. Only had to write four papers and then the final. She also has you write a few short writing assignments for hw, but they are really simple. very helpful and is eager to meet with you if you need help on a paper.

Ms. Spearen is SO awesome! She is extremely helpful. She is nice and gives out great extra credit. I would definitely take this class again in a heartbeat. The papers are easy. She gives you the topic of the final. She is so sweet! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!

I took this class fall of 2006 and it was decent. She is really sweet but can get irritated if students dont read. She dismissed class once bc no one read lol. Shes not the easiest grader. Just papers and a final. She gives you the topics for the final ahead of time so you can prepare. Offers extra credit oppurtunities.

I absolutely LOVED Mrs. Spearen! She will help you as much as possible as long as you ask her. Read the assignments and participate in class- if you do that then you'll do great. Work hard on your papers and ask questions if you don't understand- she loves participation! I highly recommend her!
