Comment:

While "doc" is a nice guy and means no harm, his class and teaching style will make it near impossible for you to pass. With his confusing lectures, minimal handouts or any sort of direction, the only grades determining your final average are four test grades. Textbook was a waste of money unless you plan on teaching yourself the entire class.

The laziest, most disrespectful person you will ever meet. Does not care about his students to explain material. The majority of class is spent on him ranting about nothing, working on papers by yourself and him walking around handing the attendants sheet to everyone individually (waste of time). Do yourself a favor and avoid Callahan at all cost.

Professor Callahan is kind and fair. His teaching style is corny and upbeat. He is responsive to emails, phone calls, and questions. His tests are fair and mostly multiple choice. Homework is minimal and all online.

Doc is a funny/interesting/unique/different/weird professor. The content of the course is easy, however, the questions on his tests come out of no where and may surprise you. He's definitely not the best but his personality makes up for it.

I took him for Micro Economics last semester. I got an 82 on the first exam and was horrified. That was my fault, however. I buckled down after that and ended with an A in the class. He recommends watching the ACDC Econ videos on YouTube and so do I. They are an amazing supplement to his class. He's quite friendly during office hours and funny

Professor Callahan was the worst teacher I have ever had. Never explains anything, just expects you to know it. He only has 4 tests and that is your final grade and the tests are not easy at all! Ive been an average student, mainly B's and A's and I failed this class. I retook it at MCC and got an A. Clearly he was the issue.

Hands down the worst professor I have ever had. Im an A student and am failing his class. His way of teaching consists of sound effects, drawing graphs on the board, and giving you a packet that you don't know how to fill out. He is rude and makes students feel stupid when they ask a question.

Doc is obviously very smart, but lacks in how he runs a classroom. Lectures are typically all graphs, and tests are mostly all word problems. Supplements with online stuff, doesnt go over it in class. Very rude to you if you ask questions during class. Not very easily available outside of class. Really funny guy, definitely would not recommend.

He doesnt explain anything well at all. Ive relied on you tube videos to teach me. More then 1/2 my class is failing. His test are extremely hard all word problems and nothing that closely resembles his notes. Also the notes he gives you does not make sense. Dont ask a question in the class or he will look at you like your dumb.

If you are someone who pays attention to detail and doesnt mind being graded on only tests and quizzes, take him. If not.. DON'T. You could receive a 75 on something you deserved 100 on because of something as simple as not drawing a graph PERFECTLY, (he advises tracing) or not writing a statement the way he wants it, even if its in the text book

There's no homework. Just quizzes and tests. He is willing to help out whenever he has time. As long as you follow the process shown in class you should do well on the exam. Make sure you don't have your phone out during class. He also drops the lowest test grade. Overall, I think he's a great professor.

This professor lacks clarity but the material is not hard. Even he suggests watching online ICDC community college Dr. McGlasson videos. Teach yourself because he rambles. Lastly, he does enjoy adding to class lectures with self proclaimed wealth stories as pay you pay him for credit hours!

Callahan is actually pretty cool as a person he is funny. I was never afraid to ask questions or interrupt and ask him to explain better, and he would, he does give u a funny look but it's just him trying to be humorous not insulting. Overall he is a poor educator. His lectures are short, vague, quick, and makes you work on packets by yourself
