Statistics is HARD. You have to work hard and study for your grade. HE DOES NOT LIKE FOR STUDENTS TO FAIL. Will absolutely work with you if you need help. I actually learn things in his class instead of 'getting' a grade. Excellent professor, I will be sad to see him leave.

One of the best psych professors you will have and will prepare you for higher-level classes and thinking. His two classes I took at MSC were priceless now that I am a high school science teacher in an urban city. Just wish he would have taught me how to hypnotize students.

Read the chapter before class. I've taken him twice, and can say because of experience that if you already know what you're going to be talking about in class, you enjoy class a lot more. And are not always writing notes. Cliett is a challenger. Take the challenge, don't back down, and have fun!

I heard bad things about Dr. Cliett, but his was the only class left. The things I heard were not true. He knows the material - lectures are from memory not powerpoint. He gives out a study guide. He asks the class to participate in discussions. What more could you ask for? My advice - ignore the naysayers and take the class!

I have taken Dr. Cliett for numerous classes- stats, research methods and applied learning-- he is very fair in his grading process. If you study and show interest you will do well in his class. He is someone you love or hate. I actually love his classes over Dr. Upton... I actually plan to take several more classes from him prior to graduation.

Class was pointless, although I did not miss a day. He wants discussion but hates when I tried to discuss. Makes jokes at peoples expense. Good thing about his class is he only has 3 tests with a Guide that is alligned with the test. Know the Guide Ace the test.

Must make an appointment with him to get a correct answer to a missed exam question. Do not ask about test answers in class!! Many students missed the answer to one particular question. Learn the answers to the study guide. Read the whole page in the book, not a short answer. Lectures do not cover all test questions.

Test come straight from the study guide....which is why i don't understand the long lectures. But the lectures are interesting. Highly highly recommend him. Just don't ask him to go over the test...he got really angry when we asked...but everyone had the same two answers wrong. just don't ask him...don't.

I had Dr. Cliett for Intro and Abnormal. I have never studied so hard for a class before, and never have I WANTED to study for a class so hard, since. Do not write and study short answers for the study guide; you will NOT do well if you do. Sometimes, I took 2-3 pages of notes for ONE entry on the guide. I EARNED the As I received in those classes!
