Great guy in class and out of class. He's relaxed and enjoys talking about lots of things. He wants to help you and he wants to see you succeed. Was in the 1st semester of EE2305 and he made it easy for a ME to learn EE stuff.

Dr. Duvall is one of the best professors I have had in my college experience. He teaches the material by example. By working out different problems, and show how its done, and explain why it's done like that. He treats tests like industry which means use any material that will help you besides internet and a friend, aka open note and book tests.

Professor Duvall is one of the most laid back professors I've had. I had him for lab and was really cool about all our assignments. He will make you feel dumb sometimes if you ask a dumb question. The few times he actually lectured he explained stuff really well.

I took Prof. Duvall for EE1000 and based on my good experience, took him for EE2301. The content itself is challenging but Duvall really cares about you effectively learning the material. He has helped me countless times and I think that really helped me get an A in the class. But be prepared to study because it's an absolute must!

Professor Duvall is amazing. Hes hilarious and very down to earth. Hes very understanding of students because he understands we have a life and other classes besides his. Class is helpful to attend since he does plenty of example problems. Had 3 super easy online quizzes and 4 exams and 4 graded hws, all very fair. Do your part and youll get A.

His homework was far and few apart and it was easy to do. Labs are very easy, pretty much show up and you get an A for that portion. Grade was final project heavy but you get to create your own project that fits in the criteria but overall not bad. He is super nice and easy to understand and is willing to go the extra step to make sure you get it.

Excellent professor! Would gladly take again for future classes. He has a few online assignments, journal entries, and a few labs to give you a feel for future classes. There may be a few job site field trips. He is accessible outside of class. The more you participate, the more he'll appreciate you.

Great man with a lot of history. Teaches for fun, not for salary. Will help you along with finding your future career EE or not. Show up to class, listen to him speak, easy A. Sometimes there are online assignments. Don't miss those. Also there are some labs which are fun. SHOW UP EARLY!!! Cannot stress that enough for the lab days.

I had Professor Duvall for Intro to EE. It one of the the easiest classes I've taken at KSU - you basically show up and pass. The actual lectures can be fairly dull and you have to write a short journal entry for each class, but he has you do practical things like solder a power supply and write a practice lab report, so I'd recommend him.

Duvall is great. He just spends his lecture time doing circuit problems and introduces new concepts as he goes along. You can even talk to him for help on circuits in later classes. If you write down all the problems he does in class and do all the homework, then you've got a free A and a great grasp of the circuits theory as well.

He is a nice guy, but for those not familiar with circuit. you will be left not understanding anything. I don't agree with his teaching method, because he doesn't really explaining anything. He just works on problems without explanation. It feels like you're playing a game without knowing the rules of what you can and can't do in circuit.

The second worst professor I've had thus far. Not to say that he's not a nice guy but his method of teaching is deplorable. He assigns ungraded hw, then gives you graded hw that has nothing to do with what you just learned. Then he'll give you a test based off of the graded hw and changes the problems. Avoid taking him for this course!!

Duvall is EASILY the best professor in EE. It really sucks that he is only part time. He understands that non EE students have to take the course and breaks things down for them too. I'm a year out of this class and Duvall is STILL my go to guy for help. He has a very clear understanding of a lot of things and can make any material easy to digest.

Duvall said that everyone who takes his class gets an A, it's just "The flavor of your A" that will change. This wasn't always the case, however. I did well on the tests but had to study a lot for them in order to pass with an A. Online HW is tough and tricky but usually someone in the class knows how to do it. He offers a ton of help luckily. Allright Professor. Does not derive the equations and formulas enough though. Also works some problems halfway, and does complete the question. He also does not like a lot of questions in class. He cares about how students do in his class though. He also has a good personality and is funny.

This professor is awesome. I took him Fall of 2013. He might not work problems all the way. Just do the homework problems over and over and you'll learn while doing well on the tests. Labs suck though...
