I did enjoy his class and learned a lot. He is a good professor. You will have to work hard though. For this class, the grading scale is skewed. 93% + is considered an A whereas a 92% is considered a solid B. As a person, I think he definitely picks favorites and I was not the biggest fan of him outside of class. Interesting take-home assignments.

Best prof I have ever had. Made me love Biology and want to learn again Passionate BEWARE of very tough biweekly quizzes! Have to study real hard but whatever your major you will love Biology once you take him.

When people say he is the best teacher, they are not lying. He is wonderful and goes above and beyond the content of the course and teaches you life lessons. I feel blessed to have been his student.

Dr. Ferguson is the best professor I have had in the entirety of my college career. If I could change one thing it would be finding more courses I could have taken with him. I will truly miss this course and this professor. Anyone would be lucky to have a class with him. Do not miss an opportunity to have this man mentor you.

Dr. Ferguson is an amazing teacher. Gives weekly quizzes both online and in class. Use the textbook for the online quizzes and his notes for the in class. The tests are difficult but easy when you take good notes and fully understand "WHY". This class is definitely one to take and helps in the future. Get to know him outside class. He cares a lot!

He is one of the best professors I have ever had! He gives a lot of additional resources, challenges you to think big picture, and loves what he does. It is not an easy class, but he is clear about the learning objectives and expectations. Takes time to learn names and is so fun!

Dr. Ferguson is an incredible professor who focuses on teaching the "why" behind concepts rather than just stating facts. Don't take this class if you are looking for an easy A, take it if you are passionate about Biology andor becoming a doctor. He is also very easy to get to know which can be helpful for a letter of rec.

Coming in I had heard great things about Dr. Ferguson. Don't get me wrong he's a good professor but he is nowhere near what I expected. He seems to go over the easy things in too much detail and then skips over the hard things, leaving you guessing on his tests. He also in notorious for his group projects, which end with a lot of frustration.

Incredible professor. He is passionate, inspiring, motivating, and can be a real friend and mentor when you need him. I could write a whole book on how his class has changed the course of my life and helped me discover my niche, but I only have 350 characters... In sum, TAKE HIM!! You won't regret it. Dr. Ferguson is one of the best professors I've had. He definitely expects you to do your work, pay attentions and STUDY but he truly cares about his students. Pay attention in his class and do the study guides before the exams. He wants you to succeed and will help you, but you MUST be willing to put in a sincere amount of effort.

I took Fergs for both Honors Gen Bio I and II. He is an extremely intelligent and passionate professor. He wants only success for his students. The class itself is pretty challenging. Do not underestimate the quizzes... when he says start studying on Tuesday, he means it! However, Dr. Ferguson will teach you more than biology. Take him. You'll see!

On the first day of class I didn't like him. By the end of the semester I had become a huge fan. Points to consider: (1) He really is friendlier and more available once he gets to know you and once you've established yourself as a good student (2)He truly cares about his students.

Comment:

He's a great teacher and makes class very interesting. Don't wait last minute to study for his midterm/final or weekly quizzes or you will not do well. He clarifies what he wants you to study and is avaliable outside of class for extra help. I loved this class! If you're taking Bio II, you'll appreciate Fergeson. Take all you can from this class!!
