He was a great teacher and I enjoyed his class. Tests were very long but he did give you a chance to make it up. I never opened the book out of its wrapper until the morning of the exam and read the whole thing and passed the class with a B.

Attendance is only mandatory for tests. He is very laid back and he gives a chance to make up any missed tests. Read the book, textbook, and power points. Study more than whats on the study guide.

His lectures tended to bore me so I had a tough time paying attention because it isn't a subject I was interested in in the first place. Just use the study guide for tests and read the book a little and you'll pass. And, obviously, take notes and pay attention during class if you want to get better than a C, thats where I went wrong.

Great educated man, he is not the uptight character that most teachers are, he is very laid back and connects with his students very well. He does not talk to you like you are a student, he talks to you like you are his friend mid conversation. Makes the class very interesting. Plus he only has 3 tests a quarter with no final!

Dr. Funderburk is a very educated man, but he presents the material in a way that anyone who tries can atleast pass. He tells you the terms that you will be responsible to know for each chapter and then he pushes the idea's home with slides and lecture. Be sure to ask questions about any terms you were not able to find or understand. Great Class.

HE WAS A GREAT PROFESSOR AND I ENJOYED HIS CLASS. TEST ARE MULTIPLE AND TRUE/FALSE. THERE ARE SOME QUESTIONS WHERE YOU HAVE TO WRITE A SENTENCE OR NOT BUT IT IS SELF EXPLANTORY ON WHAT YOU HAVE TO WRITE. i WOULD RECOMMEND HIM!

Review studies are extra credit on final grade, two for each test 4 of them. That means a possible 8 points on your final grade. PLUS THE HELP YOU FOR THE TEST. draw back- He get's politically opinionated on what he supports and makes sure to point out the bad of those he doesn't like.

The notes are online, but I still went to class because he made them interesting. His exams are pretty easy, and he even has review sessions before every exam too where and the TA practically gives you all of the answers and you get extra credit for going to them! I never even opened the book and still got an A. If you need PLS, take his class!

I loved him! He is easy, posts his notes online. But, his lectures are interesting..not necessarily the notes but what he has to say. I didn't use the book at all and got an A. Tests are pretty easy, and there's a makeup test day at the end. Gives review sessions for extra credit. Lets you out about 15 min early every class..amazing prof.

Yes he's liberal, but definitely appreciates & encourages all viewpoints, making for a positive & interactive class. You'll come out of this class with a greater respect for all views (whether or not you agree with them). He is a generous grader on papers; he just wants to see that you've read the book, & can assert an opinion w/ a strong argument.

first non-GE political science class taken, and i enjoyed it. hes a little dry, but knowledgable and respectful of opposing viewpoints. i was somewhat overwhelmed by all the readings(2 books+2 course books), but they were interesting nonetheless. tests are pretty standard, with half of the questions being short essay but arent difficult if you came to class.
