Take this as your first year seminar. You do a lot less work than the other seminar class options. Just do the worksheets, the answers are easily found in the textbook. Then you can look over these WS the night before the test once and get B's on the tests easily. There are essays, but they're easy and all FYS classes have to do them.

Goehl is awesome. His test are pretty tricky but if you study and actually read the textbook you will do just fine. Also, attendance is a necessity for his class. Goehl is very helpful and knowledgeable in everything he teaches

Comment:

Good teacher and pretty funny sense of humor with his stories. Only a 7 week course and there are exams every other week on 3 chapters where you need to only answer 20 out of the 25 questions. Study for them because most of the questions come from the text and he does not tell you everything in his lectures. Also, only about 3 easy projects.

This class wasnt all that bad. Its only 8 weeks. Class was 1 1/2 hours. Lecture the first 45 min & work out the last 45 min. Tests were hard. He tells you test chp 1-3 and 25 ?s but answer 20. In reality, its a test for each chapter with 25 ?s that you answer 20 of. Tests were very specific but lectures were general so you should read the book!

Tests are HARD! I was less than a point away form a B and he wouldn't give it to me all because I did bad on one test because I didn't feel good that day. The class wasn't horrible but he is not a great professor, but I did like working out everyday. That part was nice

He's a cool dude, but if you don't pay attention 100% of the time in class, you'll probably miss something and fail the tests. He cares a lot about you and your wellbeing. Just email him if you won't be in class, and he won't give you any crap about it. Read the book. It will help a lot.

He is old school and has a dry sense of humor. I really enjoyed him and his humor. He does tend to go a little Mr. woodcock and embarrass the hell out of you in Badminton ha. Just do the work and don't be a moron on sportfolios and you will get a B. He rarely gives As and GO TO CLASS! He has some cool stories if you get to kno him.

I knew very little about each sport that we covered. He had great knowledge, and was able to help me improve dramatically. I like the sportfolio. It helped me plan my own learning in a purpuseful way.

Not a doctorate and a department chair. A slap in the face to Savage/Hall. Not much of a help come time to look for a job. His classes are easy & for the most part useless. Savage is the guy to listen to.
