I have never worked with a teacher who is so petty, vindictive, and completely unhelpful. He openly talks badly about students to other students, he is impossible to get a hold of outside of class, he makes a point to let everyone else know how special he is. Pompous, hard to work with, and remarkably callous.

Prof. Goolsby is tough, but he is a great Prof. for serious artist. He is very willing to help, but you have to ask him. You can't be lazy if you take his class. He is really goofy, but takes his syllabus seriously. I loved his class.

Prof. Goolsby is the 2nd hardest professor I have ever had at E&H!!! The memorization is unbearable! He is a great professor overall except for his childish psychotic personality. Nice guy tough...HINT...thanks for the essays sir, pleasure having you Prof. Charles W. Goolsby!

Professor Goolsby is what artist should look for in professors. Critical and sharp, but also willing to accept other peoples opinions. If you are willing to push the limits of your medium than he is the professor for you.

One critique is that he still lives as modernist, maintaining traditions like painting and printmaking are still the cutting edge of the art world. the truth is, they're not, and the elite of art should never based on the medium one i

Goolsby can be a little abrasive, but once I got to know him, I really loved him...He taught me a lot about art in general, and Printmaking was the best class I have ever taken. If you need help, get to know him, and he will work with you.

Picks 3 ppl he likes all year. Doesn't help the students he does not like. Only likes one type of art (painting and printmakin) and thats it. If you are a digital artist or photographer you are sh*t to him and he lets you know that.
