Dr. Manyara is a tough teacher. Expect to be confused, bored, and uninterested if you don't enjoy learning about geography. If you are a geography major, Dr. Manyara is a great wealth of knowledge. He's willing to help those who want to be helped. Pay attention, make yourself interested, read his study guides and follow along and you will be ok

Comment:

Manyara in his lectures made everything seem simple and easy to understand. However, his test were long and focused on extremely small details that were never even discussed. His accent makes him hard to understand, and his expectations were very unclear. Not the most friendly man, either. Wouldn't recommend.

He was impossible. Not helpful at all and was extremely rude if you even thought about asking for help. Exams were extremely difficult and he often mislead you on what would be on the exam. Take another geography if you can, because unfortunately he's the only professor for this course.

Inconsistent with grading assignments and the quizzes are so spread apart, he's not really helpful when you ask for help. he's kinda rude if you ask questions, he tries to make the class interesting and sometimes it is but for the most part it's not. he's just not a good teacher, i don't recommend taking his class if you need help from professors.

Coming from a student with a great GPA this class is awful. You are expected to come to every class because you answer questions with a clicker for points. 3 tests all of which were very hard to pass especially the short answer. Online quizzes were easy but the video quizzes were almost impossible to do good on. He is also very rude and not helpful

Worst professor I've had here at Radford. He is rude and calls you out for being wrong. He is hard to understand because of his accent. He doesn't give study guides and it is impossible to do well on the short answer section of his test because he wants your words to be exactly the same as what he has on his answer key.

I wouldn't recommend taking his class. He doesn't care about his students. If you miss class for something important he doesn't excuse it unless you are basically in the hospital. If you could avoid taking him I definitely would.

Manyara is a fun guy. His accent is not a big deal. If you're really listening, you'll catch on. The tests are fairly difficult. Manyara goes over a surplus of material, leaving you studying everything you have and having no clue what will actually make it on the test.

Very tough teacher. Hard to retain the information, which is so much and extremely dry. If you look tired or have trouble paying attention, he will call you out. He's a funny guy but when it comes down to it, I am very regretful of taking this class. Coming from a student with a 3.6 gpa.

He's extremely funny and a great professor. I myself was very unorganized and didn't keep up with the online quizzes, which he gives you 2 attempts on. The tests aren't hard, he's very straightforward, and cancelled class several times. He's really great. Keeps class interesting. Just show up, and follow the online quizzes an vids. Loved him.

People who are complaining obviously are just lazy. Show up. Pay attention. Take the online video quizzes and the like 3 other online quizzes. If you actually suck it up and do the work you will do fine. He helps out and gives out easy grades if you show up. Don't blame Manyara for your laziness. Hes awesome and funny.

He's hilarious! Accent is a little thick but it's understandable most times. STUDY for the tests, read your book for the online quizzes, and don't forget the online videos. He gives out random in class assignments and gives you 100's on them no matter what you got wrong. He's a good teacher, LOVES what he teaches too. I recommend!!

Dr Manyara is a VERY good teacher, he is very helpful IF you go to him. You must go to him for help. He is willing to help you if you ask for it. I went to him for help and I got an A-. Test material is fair, study the slides. He says exactly what will be on the test. Easy points to earn throughout the semester with little videos. Attend! He's good
