Comment:

Charlie is passionate, caring, and encourages students to be active participants in their learning. Despite sometimes being a little disorganized as far as the whiteboard goes, she always connects things back to the important topics at hand. Good feedback on assignments. Fosters professionalism. Take learning seriously and this class is a breeze.

She is a great professor! I was scared to take her due to what some of the people were saying on here but she is great. She keeps everyone interested & has no problem discussing problems you have within the class material during office hours. Id advise to never take out your phone(one of the rules)as well as just respect her & shell respect you.

I do not understand why this professor has such a low rating, I thought she did a wonderful job teaching media studies. Although I was placed into this class for my critical thinking course, I thought the course material was interesting. Anyone complaining must have not put in the work or showed up because this class was quite easy and common sense

Comment:

Despite her media course being very repetivite, she is a good teacher and makes sure she hits every necessary point. Gives a lot of fairly easy homework that always helps with class the next day. Many of my peers complain about her but I think theyre just lazy and entitled. Do the work, respect Charlie, talk with her when needed, pass the class.

This professor has without a doubt no care for the challenges you're facing as individual that might prevent you from performing in class at her "Standard." If you are a student with a full time job, children, family emergencies, run from this professor as she is has not even 1 ounce off empathy in her.

Comment:

Charlie is great and definitely cares about her students. She isn't a terribly hard grader and there is no textbook required by her even if the bookstore says otherwise. Rarely does she give work, but when she does, make sure you do it. She is a great teacher, although the subject isn't for me.

Charlie is an amazing teacher. The material, which dates back so far, she teaches can be confusing but she does her best to make it understandable and relatable. Attendance is important b/c her power points are a little vague & your notes are exactly what your tests are based off of -- she doesn't give test guidelines.

Charlie was great! At first she scared me and I thought the class was going to be tough but as long as you know what you're writing about you should be good. Or if you need help go to her office hours! She is great one on one and she loves talking about her dog and daughter. :)

Charlie is a wonderful professor. Yes, her class can be challenging. Yes, she can be hard on you. And yes, you will get confused. If you reach out to her and ask questions, do your readings and pay attention in class, you will be fine. Engagement is worth a large portion of you grade, so be involved. Overall, Charlie is great.

Seriously listen to what everybody has to say about Charlie!!! She was very nice, but she is unclear about everything she teaches. She confused everybody in the class even more when she was just trying to clarify things. Save yourself from getting a bad grade in Media and don't take this teacher if you can avoid her.

She is honestly one of the worse teachers I have ever had. I have learned nothing in this class. There is no text book and you rarely have anything to take notes on. She will spend whole class time talking about stuff that has nothing to do with the class but expect you to know what she would have taught. I would never take a class with her again!

There is no textbook to refer to, she is bad at explaining things and never really gets to the point. Her slides she says to study from have no information. So far i hav not learned anything. The midterm was really hard cause you dont have anything to study from. Once in awhile u hav readings. Has offers hours where she is more approachable.

Charlie is a phenomenal professor. Her classes are tough but if you reach out to her for help she does everything she can to help you understand. She's not going to hand you an A, she wants you to work and actually learn. Do the readings, pay attention in class, write down her examples, and you'll be fine. Just put the effort in.

PROFESSOR. honestly. i never understood a word and my attendance was great. she uses big words and doesn't know what she's talking about ever. you'll regret every second of taking this class once you are in it. don't even think about raising your hand either, because you are wrong. everyone is always wrong to her.
