Class is at the Bend of the River range about 20min north of campus. Leave travel time. 2-3 very easy "tests". He and the other people at the range can seem a little rude at times but after some time you realize that they are just to-the-point. $87 class fee but that gets you 50 bulletsweek, and a membership to the range all semester. It was fun to shoot on the range, and Mr. Pardue is somewhat funny. But the quizzes are nonsense. There was stuff on a couple that we had never covered. He also mumbles. However, I never did well on the quizzes, but I still made an A. It's all about attendance and effort.

This class was really easy. I had never had archery before and this class was very fun. I would highly recommend anyone to take this class. The worst part is that you have to take 3 tests over terms and parts of the bow. Not hard at all. If you look over the handout u will easily pass.

Comment:

Charlie Pardue should have his own television series. His sense of humor and down to earth nature make him an incredible instructor. If I were going to do a regional documentary I would definitely include Bend of the River, a great place to learn or just spend some leisure time. My only advice is to watch the weather reports and dress accordingly!

everyone should take these classes. Bend of the River (where you shoot) is cool to go hang out and shoot even when there is no class. Charlie, Mary Jane (his sister, runs the place), and Gus(skeet master) are awesome. Really good classes especially if you grew up around guns and family.
