Amazing teacher, great class structure, she curved every test and was awesome about giving extra credit opportunities for those of us that didn't do well on the test.

Comment:

Cheryl Halcrow is great if you know how to do math well and you can pick up on brief parts in a lecture since she tends to put elements on her tests that she briefly goes over. This class is nice because there is no homework, but it's important that you attend class since almost everything she goes over in class are on the exams.

Halcrow is the only reason I passed Calc1, she really cares about you as a student and grades quite sparingly. would recommend to anyone who struggles with Calc

Comment:

I took Calc I from Cheryl Halcrow this semester. It was challenging, but it wouldn't be Calc otherwise. Halcrow clearly cares about her students and wants to see them succeed. She's perfectly happy to provide help/answer questions, and she knows her stuff. Minor complaint: grades could be entered sporadically, but overall I'd highly recommend her.

She is a great person but she doesn't know Calc II very well. She would constantly have to pause and think about how she did the problem and then the next day have to correct herself because she did it wrong. She is slightly a push over. On the days that most people aren't there she will give bonus questions. Grading scattered and tests suck.

Her name is actually Cheryl Halcrow, and she is a phenomenal professor! Her goal is for you to be successful and she will do anything to make that happen. I enjoyed her class so much I asked her to be my adviser. Which she takes very seriously and puts forth a ton of effort to help me. Great teacher!

Best math professor I've had so far. She explains the material very well. Had 4 tests and the final. The last test was shorter than the rest since we took it about 2 weeks after the third test. Has about 1 quiz per week which you can do with a partner or group. Homework is online and it is mandatory. Go to class and pay attention and you'll be fine

When she tries to explain some of the material she's vague and incomplete on explaining. She likes explaining and doing calc the way she knows. She doesn't think the way the authors way is correct. She does give quizes and bonus quizes. Do her required and suggested homework things will go easier if you don't and don't show up.

Really good professor. She explains calc very well. Some of the tests are a bit challenging but if you do the homework (which is optional) you will do just fine. Also go to class, she offers 5 point quizes which are extremely easy just about every class. I'd recomend her!

tests are hard only if you dont do the homework. failed first test, then went to mlc before tests and got b's. quizzes are VERY easy, a free 100% test grade with quizzes. nice woman too!

Almost too easy at times, It gets really annoying when she thinks that the class can't undertand the math but at the same time it is helpful because in the end everyone knows what they are doing.
