Professor Kumamoto is awesome! Definitely one of the best professors I've ever had. Her grading may not be easy, but she is very helpful and friendly if you take the time to talk to her and she wants her students to succeed. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Teacher is horrible. Hard to understand and not good at explainig assignments. Tough grader, First day of class there were about 25 students, third day there were 10 of us. I suggest to NOT sign up for her class!

I had her for an online British Literature class. She did not adhere to the syllabus. She embarrassed me in front of my online peers. She did not seem to care about the class at all. If you must, MUST take this class, do it. But if there is any way at all for you to not have her as a teacher, go per that route. Awful.

Class just started a month ago and already I can see why people have said what they have on here. She is ridiculous. She grades based by her standards that she doesn't tell you until after she grades. Example: I got a "B/C" on my 17 mandatory sources because they were mostly websites. She is impossible to please.

Worst teacher, part of the reason i transferred schools. Couldnt understand anything she said. Class is pointless you just work on papers and she gets mad if you leave early. My suggestion if she is all thats left for classes, WAIT for another

This teacher is a very nice old lady but she struggles to speak English. It's a writing class. Kinda hard to figure out what she's saying 99% of the time. Unless this class is on the top of the to do list avoid this teacher at all costs.

I don't understand why everyone thinks she's a bad professor. I got an A in the class and all i did was the assignments she asked us to do. We wrote 5 papers i believe and only had one regular assignment for class. Sure she's unclear and quiet but if you ask her for help she is helpful. i enjoyed her class

Terrible teacher I just dropped this course. Her grading is beyond confusing. She is hard to understand, being that she is an older japanese lady. Assignments are confusing and alot of work. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TEACHER!

No respect for her as a teacher. Very annoying, talks to quiet, can't relate to students, doesn't let you leave early (what is this? High school?). She is HUGE on prep work which annoys me because I would get high B's on papers and D's and C's on my prep work. Overall, not a good teacher. Don't take her. She will just stress you out.

She is a nice person, but she has an unclear accident/teaching methods, shes impatient, but very intelligent which means she is a hard grader! I got a B but tried very hard in class. My advice, if you HAVE to take her, meet with her outside of class for extra help and she will give you very good grades on the paper-she almost writes it for you.

She is in fact a hard teacher when it comes to grading essays. She is very precise and specific about what she wants in her papers. This is not a blow off class or an easy A. If you want to improve your writing and become a better writer then I would recommend her but if you just want to get your english credit, then try another teacher.

If you want to pass english 1101 with credit to advance to 1102, do not take her class. If you are asian, then I guess you can take her class, however you may hate life temporarily.
