Comment:

Though he insists you call him "Dr." Barrett, and talks far too much about his motorcycle and Swedish women...he is a difficult but fair professor. Attend lectures and make a sincere effort to participate. I messed up on the only exam, but because I explained my reasoning and had worked hard in class, he gave me an A anyway.

Very good prof. He is sarcastic most of the time-you have to take him with a grain of salt. Class was one of the most interesting I have ever taken.

There's a reason why he is referred as "DR. Barrett", he acts like he is better than everyone else and asking him a question is completely humiliating. Although his personality is less to be desired, he is demanding with the level of work to complete, but it is worth it.. the most I ever learned in a quarter.. just a shame he has to be a huge jerk

Dr.Barrett is completely condisending. He only answers questions with 'look in the syllabus' or 'its in the text book'. He doesn't clearly define projects. He makes the class unbareable.

Dr. Barrett tries to hard to be cool and hip. Anything you have done he has also and better than you. He does not explain his assignments well and answers questions about them vaguely. I am glad to be done and over with his course and will avoid him in the future. Not a good teacher and just not a good person in general.

Excellent professor who expects college level work. He is very clear on what every student will need to do to pass his class: You need to come, take notes, study the material,and try. He can be little moody, but he is only human. My advice: don't take everything he says personally. I asked a TON of questions and got answers. He's one of the best.

Certainly arrogant; even when he's wrong, he's right. Expects a lot from his students but is willing to answer questions and explains the material very well. Uses good visual examples during his lectures. Requires a few written assignments, but is an easy grader. Not recommended to students looking for an easy A; exams can be tough.

This is really good teacher. You have to be hardworking to pass his class. Only lazy students will make bad comments about him. If you read your notes, pay attention in class, research on your topics really well, you will survive in his calss. If you expect him to give you everything you need, it s never going to happen.Yeah,he is a nice jerk.

This guy is a jerk. He's very arrogant and if you ask a question in class he'll most likely make you look stupid. I'm now afraid to ask questions unless I'm up at his desk. VERY HARD tests but really interesting material. No review sheets but if you study and know it, you're good.
