Really amazing professor. The class itself was one of my favourite classes ever taken at Carleton. Readings were long but also really easy and interesting. The material taught was really interesting as well. Assignments super easy, really easy marker and quite fair if you need any accommodations or anything. Defs take a course with this man!!

His class was easy but I found his teaching style annoying. Didn't feel like I learnt anything. He would pose a question for the class and then smile really smug like nobody would get it and continue to wait until someone did. It was such a waste of time. Interesting subject not an interesting teacher.

Horrible. Just Horrible. Not available out of class. Makes comment about students in front of class who haven't returned readings on time even if it was a legit excuse. Very cold teaching style. Not comfortable asking question - he makes you feel like an idiot even though this material is very new. Horrible, just avoid him at all cost.

Excellent Prof! Extremely clear, organized, and interesting. One of the better profs I've had in my 3 years at Carleton. His lectures are well-presented and the exams are very fair, and it is fairly easy to study for them because his lectures are so well-structured. Highly recommend.

You have to incorporate his lecture into your essay even if you disagree or you'll get a C+. I ended up with an A but only because I caught on fast. He's obsessed with Botswana, how useful.

A really great Prof. He's very passionate about it and makes everything really interesting, definitely one of the best Profs I've had so far. However, it must be warned, once he gets onto the topic of Botswana, there is no turning back! But hey, atleast we know he's passionate and cares for something!

I like his lectures... I suppose he is a bit self-righteous... maybe assumes some of his students are dumber than they are... give us some credit Chris... some of us are well read.

Very good lecturer, clear and interesting. Great prof to have at 830am. He doesn't mention Bostwana as often as others have stated. Kind of him self but it adds to his persona. Very knowledgible, I can understand why he is the chair of the PSCI dept. Good impression of PSCI for a first year student.

Lectures are very organized and notes used on Powerpoint are easy to follow and understand when prepping for exams. However, he's very condescending and makes you feel like you're always trying to bump up your marks when you approach him with a question during office hours about a marked paper.

He is an alright Prof, but not a good one by any means. He is one of my best, but that's not saying much since Carleton has really poor Profs.
