This class requires you to put in work just like any other class. I showed up to most classes, took notes during lecture, read the book, and I made an A. We're graded on 3 tests and the final, each of which requires you to study the material involved because some of the questions are worded a little confusing. I recommend taking him.

Comment:
It is very manageable to get an A in this class if you go over both his powerpoints/lectures and the textbook. It is a light workload, as he is only grading you off of four tests and a few participation points in the class. That being said, the tests can sometimes have tricky wording/phrasing. Overall, though, he is a good teacher.

Comment:
Dr. Logan's lectures tend to be lengthy and disorganized. His powerpoints are often very vague and hard to understand if you do not attend the lecture. He often goes off-topic and gives off-topic examples in class, like showing Simpson videos. He can be hard to reach outside of class if you need help.

Really interesting lectures. Tests are on what is covered in class and in the textbook so if you come to class and do the readings you'll do great. Didn't put in a ton of work and got an A.

I took Social Psych as a freshman by recommendation from my advisor. All I can say is spare yourself the confusion from vague lectures and slides that make absolutely no sense and follow no pattern. I would never take this class again, not worth the one UC credit. I studied for 12 hours for each test and got a B-. Class ruined my would be 3.85 GPA

He's really nice but the lectures don't really cover anything we see on the tests. Everyone feels unprepared on test day. I studied for every test and never got anything higher than a B+. No extra credit is offered either.

Professor Logan is a nice guy, a good advisor and a decent teacher. Some of the others viewers are spot on that his lectures are somewhat disorganized and he often get off topic (usually with a Simpson's related joke or story). But, overall he is a fine choice. Zero homework - just pay attention and you pass.

Comment:
He is so incredibly vague and his lectures are so unorganized and rarely make sense. He provides powerpoints but they are also super vague and a lot of the time the topics from class are not in the textbook. The examples he provides in class are often off-topic, irrelevant, and not applicable. He wastes a lot of time with off-topic discussions.

Very disorganized in Research Methods. Nobody I know got a decent grade, regardless of their academic abilities. RM is a Psych major weed-out class and you should expect to put a TON of work in to understand how the pieces fit together.

Confusing speaker. Course material was not presented in a way that was clear, especially when it came to all 4 exams. Seems like a decent guy but came off as unwilling to promptly answer questions and when he did his answers were again, obscure. Some how passed although I think he curved our final grades, slightly. Pick another professor if you can

Really nice, funny teacher, and likes jokes. Powerpoints provided definitely help. He does tend to say that tests come more from lecture than the book, but I found this to be completely untrue. If you read you will ace his tests (50 multiple choice and 13 short answer options). There is a participation grade, but it's only 10 points of 430.

(Summer 1) Totally manageable for summer. You will have to read one chapter a day though, but it's all interesting! Tests are straight forward, nothing tricky; multiple choice with 2 short essay. Really nice teacher and down to earth. He tells good personal stories in class which is fun. Take this class!

He is such a nice professor and he makes his classes interesting. The exams are mix of multiple choice, short answers and essays. He doesn't round up your scores, you get the exact grade you earned. I like him and recommend his classes, they are enjoyable and you'll learn a lot.

Do not take this professor. Really interesting material but he does a very poor job of teaching it. Tests are inconsistent with lecture material and he is incredibly hard to meet with outside of class.

Professor Logan is the best! His lectures move quickly but he provides notes. Attendance is not mandatory but he does reward you if you show up. His tests are difficult but if you read and listen to his lectures carefully your good to go. Hes a very nice and super funny guy! The class isnt an easy A but its very enjoyable.

Took during summer class; moves fast but is still manageable. Excellent professor, jokes and uses Simpson's videos to keep class interesting. Sometimes has class group-work, but this may not occur in larger lectures. A little slow on grading, but likely due to his new baby! An excellent teacher; would definitely recommend him.

LOVE LOGAN! Hilarious, interesting, and genuinely cares about students. Take any & all classes he teaches, you will def not regret it! Top 3 of my favorite professors I've had at SMU. A little difficult but he truly wants you to learn, not just memorize. Participation mandatory b/c it's part of grade but it def helps test time
