This man ignited a passion for jazz in me that has yet to die out. I loved his class, and I still listen to the sample tracks he gave us even years later. He is a very kind and understanding man, and he's willing to work with you if problems come up.

Comment:

Very good professor. He goes above and beyond to make sure you understand the material, but you have to come to him. The content is taught very clearly, but his assignments are always very vague. He is a fountain of knowledge, so take advantage of that. Ask questions. I highly recommend him.

Had him throughout the whole music degree - he's a great teacher, extremely helpful during his office hours. Very informative, makes the music program a wealth of information and great for the money. Really cool guy as well, he breathes jazz yet is open minded. Highly recommended.

I have had Prof. Parker for pretty much every class that he teaches. He is an amazing musician and an amazing person. If you really want to learn he is extremely helpful and more than willing to take extra time from his schedule to go over the material again and again. Chris is a great guy.Really personable and knows his stuff.The concepts were easy to follow as long as you knew music and knew what YOU were doing,they call it advanced theory for a reason.got a poor grade but accepted responsibility for it The only reason why someone might be unprepared after the class is bc of students slowing the class down
