I really enjoyed this class. I did not know what to expect upon registering but I actually had a lot of fun and grew as a writer. Alot of reading is required but none of the books required are boring. She can be a bit critical at grading papers but always gives you another shot at a better grade. Just follow her comments and you will do fine.

Honestly I was intimidated at first, but she turned out to be very laid-back. She is so passionate and very inspiring. I always left the class feeling wonderful and inspired and I actually enjoyed writing every paper. Fantastic class!

The class itself wasn't hard, but there are a lot of readings to do. Also helps if the people in class are cool, since she does keep you the whole time and attempts to engage you. A few papers, but most of them about impressions and perceptions. Totally recommended for a GenEd.

Really nice lady, passionate about her subject. Her exams (two of them) are really hard though and she doesn't really review at all, or give you any idea what to study. However there are a lot of easy homeworks and in-class assignments that boost your grade. Dont take the once a week class, it's boring as anything.

Very nice lady. She's knowledgable and passionate about women's studies. There are alot of readings (4 novels) and many homeworks and current events which boosts grades. Overall a very good class. I suggest taking!

Prof Potts is a nice teacher, she has a really clear syllabus but her tests are kind of hard, you have to make sure you do all the readings and pay attention to all the details of history.

nice lady but fairly awkward. says "right" and "yeah" after every sentence but makes her point. hard class for a gen ed..very very detailed mid term and final. small projects here and there to boost your grade. not a bad class overall, just make sure youre willing to put in the time for the work

I absolutely adored Professor Potts. She really took time out of schedule to care about me and was always passionate about her subject- which doesn't happen very often with professors. She is kind and extremely compassionate. I loved her as a teacher and her class. Would highly recommend taking "Women's Words, Women's Lives".

nice lady, but no sense of humor. She is pretty hot but she wears grandma clothes a lot. I don't think she's that hard of a grader on essays, except she is very fussy about stuff like citations. Assigns a lot of bull**** assignments like my group project, " take 15 minutes and creatively present "SILENCE"

This class made me appreciate the beauty of the written word & this prof was the main reason. She helped me find the voice many told me wasn't worth hearing. It's not an easy course, but it's worth the effort.

Not a hard teacher but def makes you work. A lot of work outside the class such as cook reserve stuff...Do your work and you will at least get a B...she does demand detail though....so dont be surprised if you end up having to write a lot

This class involved way too much work just for a gen Ed credit. It ivolves many outside assignments and things that you must attend. The test are difficult and require a lot of detail, only 2 tests, a midterm and a final, but very detail oriented in remember names and dates.

Very nice. Pay attention to everything she says. Midterm and final. Asks some specific questions. Long, long tests! A lot of work if you're taking it as a gen ed. She's very nice and class is interesting. Only an miss 2 classes (unexcused). You'll get an A or B if you always go to class. Very helpful and nice.

She is a nice teacher and very understanding. If you are not good at writing do not take the class, even though it is a women's studies class she gives a lot of papers and grades them hard.
